Elle Fanning Models for Marc by Marc Jacobs

Looks like Elle Fanning admires her sister in more ways than one! In addition to following in big sis Dakota’s footsteps by becoming an actress, the Super 8 star is taking her sibling’s lead on another aspect of her career — as a fashion model. Just like Dakota, who is the current face of Marc Jacobs’s latest scent, Oh, Lola, Elle is set to show off her fashionable side as the face of the Marc by Marc Jacobs fall ad campaign. According to Racked.com, the fashion-forward star, who credits Alexa Chung and Marilyn Monroe as her style icons, was recently shot by photographer Juergen Teller. And at just 13 years old, it looks like she may have caught a premature case of fashion fever: the budding fashionista has already been to her first Parisian runway show and while there, spent time posing for photos with famed Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld. Tell us: What do you think of Elle’s first Marc by Marc Jacobs ads? –Kim Peiffer

Chrissy Teigen’s Swimsuit Collection Make a Splash in Miami

Chrissy Teigen doesn’t even know how to swim, but the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model knows a good bikini when she sees one. So she recently launched a 12-piece capsule collection with diNeila Brazil, showing it this week at Mercedes Benz Fashion Swim in Miami. “I am inspired by my native Thailand and its amazing jungles, beaches and vibrant flowers,” Teigen told PEOPLE at the runway show. “My senses come alive every time I go back. Its exotic beauty was my muse.” In vivid sea blues (just like Kristin Cavallari‘s glass creation), sunset violets, ocean corals and palm-tree greens, the collection was chic, tropical and energetic, running the gamut from sexy triangle bikinis to ruffled bandeaus. “I enjoy being a model but this is a new phase in my life, and it really suits my personality,” Teigen said. Longtime beau John Legend, who joined his girlfriend at the show, said he’s proud of his ladylove’s fashionable eye. “I’m impressed how she selects color for her new swimwear design,” he told PEOPLE. And Teigen added that color is an important part of her approach to swimsuit design. “We are into mix-and-match and wonderful bright colors,” she said, adding that she takes curves into account when creating looks, too. “We want every woman to look amazingly sexy when she goes to the beach. Like the swimsuit was made for her.” Chrissy Teigen for diNeila Brazil retails for $100-$160; find it soon at top specialty boutiques. –Linda Marx

Vanessa Minnillo’s Wedding Look: All the Details!

Vanessa Minnillo Wedding Dress
Yitzhak Dalal/Hilton Media Group

Vanessa Minnillo tied the knot with Nick Lachey Friday on Necker Island in the Caribbean, but the island atmosphere didn’t change the bride’s vision of that traditional wedding look — with a twist, of course. Minnillo, the new host of Wipeout, donned a two-piece Monique Lhuillier ensemble featuring an intricately embellished lace corset with rose and crystal detail, paired with a signature hand tufted skirt made of silk faille. The look was completed with a tailored bow belt at her waist and chapel length tulle veil. “I probably had half a dozen fittings and I was just so lost,” she tells PEOPLE of searching for the perfect gown. “I finally decided to ask Nick and said, ‘What do you want to see me in when you marry me and I become Mrs. Lachey?‘” she recounts. “I thought I would get some generic guys’ answer but he sat up in bed and told me he loved me with my hair down … and wanted me in something traditional but with a modern flair.” And so on Minnillo’s next trip to Lhuillier’s Los Angeles boutique, she knew the ‘one’ when she saw it. “I knew it [was the dress] because of the conversation I had with Nick. It just felt so right and I felt so beautiful in it.” The bride accessorized with a pair of diamond stud earrings Lachey gave her during their first year as a couple, plus Swarovski-encrusted Christian Louboutin slingbacks (she had a jeweled pair of white Havaianas flip-flops for late-night!) and a Judith Leiber clutch. For her makeup the bride went au naturel. “Two dear friends of mine that I met [while working at] MTV did my hair and makeup,” Minnillo says. “We went very natural because I wanted Nick to see me, not a bunch of makeup and big hair. It was such a tropical location but we wanted our wedding to have a timeless feel.” –Jennifer Garcia

Vanessa Hudgens’s Short Hair: All the How-To Details

Vanessa Hudgen's short hair

She may still be getting accustomed to her drastic hair make-under — a change for her latest film, Gimme Shelter — but Vanessa Hudgens isn’t having problems glamming up her new short do. The actress showed off her super-cropped locks Tuesday night at the Los Angeles premiere of Captain America, and for the big event, her stylist amped up the sex appeal on her new cut. “I first transformed her haircut by removing the weight from the sides, creating more texture and movement and opening up her face,” shares stylist Jamal Hammadi. Next, he straightened her waves with a large round wooden brush, then used a 1-in. hair iron to create curls around Hudgens’s head. “I pulled [them] apart with the hands, giving it height and separation that makes the texture look natural, chic and effortless.” He finished by teasing her hair starting from the roots, then brushed his fingers through her hair once more before she walked out the door. Voilà! Tell us: Would you try Hudgens’s short do? –Kim Peiffer
