Weekend Winner: Gwyneth Paltrow in Itty-Bitty Bikinis

Guess some GOOP — plus a little Glee — does a body good! Gwyneth Paltrow proudly flaunted her fabulous bikini body in some Melissa Odabash suits over the weekend while vacationing near the island of Sardinia with her children, Apple and Moses. The 38-year-old actress spent Friday on a yacht with her kiddies (plus her godfather, Steven Spielberg) wearing a strapless red bikini top and matching bottoms. Later, she slipped into a sexy striped number for a walk on the beach. Then Saturday, Paltrow got swim-ready yet again, re-wearing her red bikini bottoms and pairing them with a strappy red top. The actress, who admits her body wasn’t always so bikini-ready, recently shared her diet and exercise tips with Self — and said her routine really worked. “I saw a shot of myself in Barbados and was, like, all my hard work paid off,” she shared at the time. “I’m 38, I have two kids, and I feel good.” Tell us: Which of Paltrow’s bikinis was your favorite?

Sofia Vergara’s Fashion Icon? Sophia Loren

Sofia Vergara in O, The Oprah Magazine
Joshua Jordan/O, The Oprah Magazine

Modern Family star Sofia Vergara may be known for her sexy curves, but in summertime, she actually likes to cover up a bit. “I love maxidresses because they’re so comfortable,” she shares in the August issue of O, The Oprah Magazine. “You look well put-together, it’s easy, you don’t have to be hot and you get to look sexy.” The actress, who names Sophia Loren as her fashion icon — “she always looks so sexy,” she gushes — has had some style victories of her own this year, including the announcement of her own Kmart line, a new gig with Cover Girl and several stunning red carpet moments. Yet sometimes, she’d like to get a break from it all, admitting an ideal getaway would be on “a yacht in the Mediterranean, near Capri or Sardinia.” But Vergara, who stars in the upcoming Smurfs film, seems most at home when she’s with her Modern Family castmates. “We’re all friends, we all get along, we have great chemistry and we are always having a great time,” she says. “We also have great writers; they know us inside and out. I always felt like I was funny — my whole family is — but I never thought I could get nominated for an Emmy!” For more with the Latin beauty, pick up the August issue of O, The Oprah Magazine and visit oprah.com/omagazine.

Kim Kardashian Lightens up Her Locks

Kim Kardashian Hair Color
Dave Proctor/Startraks, Ramey

Bye bye, dark brown! Kim Kardashian recently traded in her nearly black hair for a much lighter chocolate brown shade. “I dyed my hair light for the summer,” she Tweeted last week. “I’m loving it! I feel younger!” Though the fruits — er, roots — of her labor weren’t visible in the accompanying TwitPics, when she stepped out for a meeting in Studio City, Calif., on Thursday, her lightened locks were quite noticeable. The reality star’s last major hair change came in March when she sported Bo Derek-inspired braids during a music video shoot, but she has played with her hair color before, going blonde in 2009 (sister Khloé went red briefly this winter, too). The bride-to-be made the change just in time for the holiday weekend, which she spent with fiancé Kris Humphries in his hometown of Minnetonka, Minn. Tell us: Do you like Kardashian’s lightened look? eBay, Top Designers Take a Stand Against Fake Fashion

eBay Can't Fake Fashion Bags

Sure fake bags are cheap, but did you know that buying them seriously hurts the fashion industry? On Monday, eBay is launching a campaign to raise awareness against counterfeit goods and stolen designs in collaboration with the Council of Fashion Designers of America. Called “You Can’t Fake Fashion,” the campaign goes hand in hand with the sale of canvas tote bags bearing the slogan and customized by CFDA designers like (clockwise from top left) DKNY, Tory Burch, Milly and Phillip Lim. If you don’t want to shell out $150 for a customized tote — but feel passionate toward the cause — grab a standard “You Can’t Fake Fashion” bag for just $35. The sale begins Monday at 11 a.m. ET at the eBay Fashion Vault; all proceeds will benefit the CFDA Foundation. Tell us: Will you support designers by taking a stand against fake fashion? –Kim Peiffer

Jennifer Lopez Draws Sweet-Smelling Inspiration from the Past

Jennifer Lopez Love and Light Ad

Jennifer Lopez may influence women around the world, but as it turns out, PEOPLE’s Most Beautiful Woman turns to other iconic ladies (and her mom!) for insight into her own life — and for her perfumes. “I am inspired by iconic legendary women. Women that were pioneers in fashion and fragrance,” she tells StyleList.com about the force behind her 17th fragrance, Love & Light (which sold 51,000 units on HSN last weekend). “The Love & Light ad is a tribute to legends like Elizabeth Taylor, Jackie Onassis and of course, Coco Chanel. We wanted to capture that chic Hollywood glamour and spirit.” But Hollywood’s former leading ladies aren’t the only figures of the past that drive the diva: she also gets nostalgic thinking of a particular scent from her childhood. “I remember when I was a little girl, my mom had this very special smell, that was unique to my mom. I loved that!” she shares. Her early years also influenced her perfume dreams: she tells StyleList that she worked in a perfume store as a teen. “This has been a passion of mine … so it’s a dream come true,” she says. “I never imagined when I launched Glow that fragrance would become such a big part of my life. Each fragrance is a reflection of what I am feeling in my life at that time.” But with every creation comes a bit of a learning curve, even for perfume pro Lopez. So what’s the biggest lesson she’s learned along the fragrance-making path? “Patience,” she says. “I never simply put my name on something. When it’s finished, I am 100 percent in love with it and I am excited about sharing it. All of my fragrances are a personal extension of myself.” Tell us: Who inspires you? –Kim Peiffer
