Ashley Greene's Ever-Changing 'Twilight' Wig: Finally Just Right

07/25/2011 at 12:00 PM ET

Ashley Greene Twilight HairSummit Entertainment(2)

She’s been through three installments of the Twilight franchise and now it’s onto the fourth — Breaking Dawn Part 1 — and finally, Ashley Greene feels comfortable with the wig she wears to play Cullen sister Alice. “We wanted to make it a little more modern,” Greene told reporters at Comic-Con in San Diego Thursday when referencing the latest version of the super-short hairpiece. “We were trying to get it exactly right and tweaking it a little bit every time.” The challenge for Greene and director Bill Condon, who helped with the evolution of the looks, was to tailor the wig to their likings without alienating fans with too drastic of a change. Luckily, the latest incarnation seems to be just right. “I was very excited,” Greene said of working with Condon, plus the hair and makeup team, to finalize the latest look. “We made Alice a little more modern. It’s always been really fun to play Alice.” –Jennifer Garcia

I love the modern look, it’s super-cute!

The best by far! She’s a beautiful girl who can pull off any hair style:)

Whoa! That first wig is ridiculous!! Who ever thought that looked good?

How do vampires get a haircut? Isn’t hair also like super hard to cut with common scissors?? or they cut it with their teeth?? well… some say real vampires get bold with the time. I will like to see the Cullen all bold !! hahaha

Donna Ward on

if ppl had read the books then they would know that the way the vampires looked when they are “turned” is the way they always look for the rest of their “lives”…meaning hair doesn’t “grow”, skin does not age..etc…

oh dina…vampires are a fiction of our human minds :) But if they were real, they are dead AND therefor neither their hair or nails grow nor would true blood scenarios be possible. dead hair gets brittle and will fall out or be very easy to cut. All vampire flicks/books fantasize about what would happen if they were possible. Don’t get me wrong, I love vampire flicks/books but unless a specific writer goes against something they’ve specifically listed out in their “rules” for their version of vampires why question it?

Arent they supposed to be “frozen in time”.. the women’s bodies cant adjust to have children.. but their hair still grows so that different hsir styles can be created…. i.e. Esme’s hair has gotten longer over the 3 movies…
Um, ok….. no way to have children.. but at least you can still see your stylist… what an awesome tradeoff!!!!

Hey, idiots, it’s a wig. It’s a prop in a movie.
Not sure why you’re debating it.

Laura on

I agree with ‘me’. Vampires aren’t real, it’s not like there are set rules of what they look like or whatever. I’m so glad Twilight is almost over! YAY!

Jay on

Thank you “me” for providing your incredible brilliance in stating the obvious. To bad you couldn’t aim your implausible intellect towards the subject of discussion.
And after reading your comment, I agree, why are you even discussing/debating it?
Then again, since you haven’t read the books, i can see where you are overly confused with the conversation and therefore made such an obtuse observation.
