Dakota Fanning Takes a (Fake) Shortcut for Her Latest Film

Dakota Fanning HaircutBauer-Griffin

True, she is a recent high school graduate, but Dakota Fanning isn’t going through a rebellious phase with her hair. The actress — spotted this week on the London set of her latest film, Now Is Good — is just donning a wig for her role in the movie, her rep confirms to PEOPLE. Fanning stars in the drama, which centers on a girl checking experiences off her bucket list as she’s dying from leukemia. It’s a far cry from the 17-year-old’s looks for more recent roles in the Twilight saga and The Runaways, and her recent campaign for Marc Jacobs’s Oh, Lola fragrance. She’s the latest in a series of stars — including Anna Faris and Sandra Bullock — to don fake hair for a role.

I think Dakota looks good anytime. She is a great young actress. I have been a fan of hers since Man on Fire. In my eyes she will always be a front runner in the movie industry and a role model for young women. God Bless You Dakota.
