Martha Stewart, Rachel Roy Help Local Crafters in Haiti

Martha Stewart, Rachel Roy in HaitiCourtesy Macy’s

She may be turning 70 next week, but that didn’t stop Martha Stewart from traveling to Haiti on Wednesday — along with designer Rachel Roy and Macy’s CEO Terry Lundgren — to meet with local artisans who’ve put their creative skills to work in the wake of 2010′s devastating earthquake. The trio met crafters in the village of Croix-des-Bouquets and offered advice on ideas and developing new products. As it turns out, Macy’s has been selling Haitian products for nearly a year through Fairwinds Trading, employing 450 artisans countrywide in an initiative supported in part by the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. “Our relationships in Haiti show how retail can change the world,” Lundgren said in a release. “With a little planning and a little effort, we can open up opportunities for people largely excluded from global commerce. The resulting income has a profound impact for artisan families and a ripple effect in their communities.” –Kate Hogan

Is Dianna Agron’s Haircut Here to Stay?

After chopping her long blonde locks in May in favor of a shorter, edgier cut, Dianna Agron is still perfecting the style. “I’ve probably cut and trimmed it six times and it’s changing slightly every time but I love it,” the Glee actress told PEOPLE Thursday night at The Ella Moss 10th Anniversary Party in Los Angeles. Agron said she’d “been dying to [cut her hair] for so long,” but her bosses may not be quite as excited about the look. When asked if her cheerleader alter ego, Quinn Fabray, will be sporting the new do when Glee returns to FOX this fall, Agron didn’t have an answer. “It’s up to [Glee creator] Ryan [Murphy] and where Quinn goes this year,” she said. “It’s much more Dianna, but we will see.” Tell us: Do you think Agron should keep the cut?Michelle Ward

Ovarian cancer is one of the world’s least-recognizable cancers, so why not choose two of the world’s most recognized stars to draw attention to the cause? Kim Kardashian and Kelly Ripa are teaming up for the second year in a row to publicize QVC Presents Super Saturday, a shopping event broadcast live from the Hamptons and featuring designer deals at up to 50 percent off. Proceeds from the sale, airing Saturday, July 30 at 2 p.m. ET, will benefit the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund, a cause close to both women’s hearts. “With so many women affected by ovarian cancer each year, the importance for awareness is now more important than ever,” Kardashian said in a statement. “It’s truly a pleasure to work with Kelly to make sure that every woman knows the facts about this unrecognizable disease.” Super Saturday‘s broad reach — it used to be a sale just for celebrities — will raise awareness about the disease, and give shoppers access to great gets from Laura Geller, L’Oréal Paris, philosophy, Judith Ripka, Honora and more. “I am thrilled to be teaming up with Kim again to support such a wonderful cause,” Ripa added. “We always have a blast when we’re together and it’s great to be able to help spread the word about such an amazing event.” –Caroline Slutsky

Farrah Fawcett Immortalized as a Barbie Doll

Farrah Fawcett Barbie Doll
Paul Jordan

She dazzled the world with her girl-next-door charm and feathered blonde hair, and now, Farrah Fawcett is receiving a lasting tribute in the form of a commemorative Barbie doll. The Farrah Fawcett Black Label Barbie Collection doll depicts the late actress wearing her red swimsuit and gold necklace, mimicking that iconic poster, which sold more than 12 million copies. For Mattel, creating a figure in honor of Fawcett was a no-brainer. “Barbie Collector always partners with culturally relevant and fashionable icons,” a Mattel spokesperson tells PEOPLE. “Farrah was a perfect fit as she impacted a generation of fashionable women with her signature style.” Doll designer Bill Greening agrees. “Farrah is a fashion icon,” he tells PEOPLE. “She made such a lasting impression on so many with her style, signature hair and smile.” As for how he created such a perfect replica of the star, Greening says he worked very closely with the Farrah Fawcett Foundation and the actress’s best friend, Alana Stewart, throughout the design process. “I spent countless hours with our hair, face and sculpting teams to ensure that we accurately captured Farrah’s look,” he shares. “I think we have made a fitting tribute to a legendary star.” The doll can be purchased for $34.95 online at barbiecollector.com.
