Andy Roddick Serves Up a Sportswear Collection for Lacoste

He’s been the fabulous face of Lacoste for years, but now, tennis pro Andy Roddick is taking his relationship with the French sportswear brand one step further: he’s creating his own signature clothing collection! According to WWD, Roddick’s new line of performance apparel will contain seven different styles, including polos, jackets, tennis shorts and track pants and jackets. And to further signify that the clothes were created by him, each item will come stamped with a logo scripted with Roddick’s signature and silhouette. “On the tour we practically live out of a suitcase,” he told WWD of the line, which he will wear as he’s scoring on the courts. “When packing, function will always win over style, which is why I am so impressed with this collection. I never would have believed 10 years ago that I would have a signature collection with Lacoste.” In fact, the husband of Sports Illustrated cover model Brooklyn Decker is so into his new line, it might be all he wears from here on out. ”Is it tacky to wear your own collection all the time?” Roddick asked, perhaps jokingly.
