Rihanna Rocks Out in a Swarovski Crystal-Studded Bra and Panties

She’s no stranger to sporting ultra-glam costumes while singing on stage, and for her just-launched Loud tour, Rihanna is wearing some looks that are, well, fashionably loud! For her kickoff performance in Baltimore, Rihanna took the stage in several jaw-dropping costumes adorned with Swarovski crystals. One of the most noteworthy — her opening look — was a two-piece bra and panty set studded with sparklers, some of which were specially hand-painted by jeweler Tom Binns. “Without a doubt, Swarovski is the go-to for the opening look for someone with Rihanna’s star quality,” tour costume designer Adam Selman, who incorporated more than 800 crystals into Rihanna’s costumes, said of the outfits. “Swarovski crystals give depth, shine and quality on stage like no other.” Though the outfit spoke for itself, the singer accessorized with giant yellow hoop earrings and some wild, curly red hair. Celeb Fave L’Wren Scott Launches a Handbag Line at Barneys

Growing up, designer L’Wren Scott could usually hear the moment when her mother arrived home at night. “She always had a very chic and sleek bag, and it always made a sound. Every time she would come home, I would hear the noise of the bag setting down, the bag closing,” Scott told reporters Wednesday at a breakfast celebrating her new handbag line at Barneys New York. “It was a memory to me.” That vivid memory was enough to inspire the model-turned-stylist-turned-designer to create her first full-size handbag, the Lula, available now at Barneys stores worldwide. “It was always sort of my dream to make this bag,” Scott explained, referencing the small, large and weekend bags. “I wanted to have a bag that’s very structured, very sharp, very tailored that also had a practical way of using it.” In fact, the spacious purse has a pouch for your iPad or Kindle, and lots of room for everyday necessities. Some styles even come with a mini pouchette inside, perfect for evening. “You can close it, you can hide all your tricks. It’s not schlumpy. It looks chic when it’s sitting there.” Scott’s attention to structure and detail is what’s made her a favorite of so many celebrities; Amy Adams had a red carpet moment in one of her dramatic blue gowns at February’s Oscars, and Oprah Winfrey chose the designer to create dresses for her final shows. “Just being asked to make her clothes was already exciting,” Scott shared. “I had no idea she was wearing them for her last shows.” After shipping them off in garment boxes, “like they were my children,” Scott said, she was stunned to see them on those last episodes. “I was in tears, just like everyone else,” she admitted. “It was so emotional.” –Kate Hogan

The Kardashian sisters seem to have the fashion mojo to pull off any look: dirndls, tuxedo ties, even 20.5-carat rings and nipple slips. But sometimes, their style choices make us wonder: could we ever wear that? On a recent trip to her family’s Calabasas, Calif., Dash boutique, eldest sis Kourtney Kardashian donned a denim jumpsuit, complete with a front zipper, pockets and rolled-up sleeves. Thanks to her petite frame, the look flatters the chic mama, but we’re not necessarily sure we’d ever suit up in head-to-toe denim — let alone a one-piece look! Mad Men‘s Christina Hendricks is used to emoting through her eyes, and now, the actress will likely be batting her lashes a bit more, as a new spokeswoman for Latisse. The sexy star is participating in the Latisse Wishes Challenge, a campaign aiming to raise $500,000 to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation and grant a wish through every chapter nationwide — all while enhancing her lash line. Hendricks recently spoke to StyleList.com about her new gig and why she felt like her lashes needed an extra boost. “Because of my profession I end up wearing a lot of makeup and false eyelashes. I’ve noticed a wear on my lashes and that they’ve become thin,” she said. “I’ve been using the product for one month and in the past three to five days I’ve noticed extra length. I’m excited to see my results in 12 weeks.” Maybe she’ll even have to trim her lashes like fellow Latisse spokesperson Claire Danes! –Kim Peiffer
