Mariah Carey found sweet success with her last fragrance, Lollipop Bling, which was inspired by hubby Nick Cannon’s delicious wedding proposal. And now, the new mama is sating her sweet tooth again with another addition to her Elizabeth Arden fragrance franchise. Called Lollipop Splash the Remix, the trio of new scents shows off Carey’s fun-loving personality and features hand-picked ingredients that express the singer’s playful side. There’s Inseparable, which contains notes of raspberry, mango, jasmine and orange flowers; Never Forget You, which has wafts of gourmet jelly beans and golden peony; and Vision of Love, inspired by French macaroon and purple jasmine. (All are named for Carey songs.) “We strive to create fragrances that give people the ability to connect with Mariah on a more personal level, just as they do with her music,” perfumer Marypierre Julien said in a statement. “To create Mariah Carey’s Lollipop Splash the Remix, we worked with Mariah and used her music as an inspiration to craft scents that are like floral melodies.” The fragrances, each topped with Carey’s signature butterfly and priced at $35 each, will hit department stores in July. Katie Holmes has been sporting an intricate band in addition to her everyday wedding sparkler, but what’s the significance of the oversize bauble? PEOPLE checked in with the design team behind Hoorsenbuhs, the L.A.-based jeweler that customized Holmes’s layered “Phantom Clique” ring, to get the scoop. Comprised of rose gold and white diamonds, the one-of-a-kind piece ranges in price from $10,500 to upwards of $15,000, says brand liaison Kether Parker. And while he won’t reveal the technique behind its construction, a customized ring can take four to six weeks to develop. “Our clients can create, with our designs, a more personal combination of metals and diamonds,” explains Parker, adding that options range from yellow gold to blue diamonds. “Bespoke commissions are what our brand was founded on.” So how involved was Holmes in her own layered tri-link design? “It was a complete surprise to her,” he confides. –Justine Harman

Is your heart racing yet? Beyoncé‘s latest fragrance, Pulse, hits stores in September, and the sexy, just-released ad already has our pulses beating faster. The seductive scent — a follow-up to the singer’s perfumes Heat and Heat Rush — features notes of pear blossom, peony, midnight blooming jasmine, Madagascar vanilla and for the first time in a fragrance, bluebird orchid. “Pulse is a fragrance you can wear all the time,” Beyoncé tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I love the idea of a signature scent that lets a woman leave her mark wherever she goes, so I always try to make my scents appropriate for any occasion.” The fragrance comes in an upside-down chrome-and-blue bottle, neatly tucked into a holographic carton. The bottle’s topper, a chrome cap, was inspired by her stage costumes. “I love [that] because it incorporates fashion into the overall design,” Beyoncé said in a statement. The print ad was photographed by Lionel Gasperini, and the TV commercial was shot by Jake Nava, who directed the singer’s “Single Ladies” video and her oh-so-sexy Heat commercial. Edited by Beyoncé, it’s set to the first single from her new album. Tell us: What do you think of Beyoncé’s Pulse ad?

Molly Sims’s Surprise Engagement and Ring: All the Details!

Jordan Strauss/WireImage

Molly Sims’s May engagement weekend was full of surprises, from a Sex and the City-esque wedding proposal (it happened in her closet!) to a touching post-popping-the-question visit from her parents, courtesy of husband-to-be Scott Stuber. “He picked my parents up in a town of like, seven thousand, in Murray, Kentucky, in a private plane!” Sims told PEOPLE Saturday at the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in Los Angeles. “Trust me, they were shocked!” Stuber’s reasoning for the trip? “Her mother is a Southern woman, and I wanted to be a good Southern gentleman and go ask her parents in person, and bring them along,” he said. But Sims had no idea her parents were part of the plan until after the proposal. “I called my brother and I was like, “I can’t get ahold of mom, I can’t get ahold of dad,’” she recalled of the hours before her engagement. “And finally about nine o’clock, I called my brother and I was like, ‘Listen, mom and dad are missing! I just want you to know that.’ Then, when Scott asked me, I called my brother back and I was like, ‘I’m engaged!’ and he was like, ‘I know.’ Then I went downstairs and my parents were at the kitchen table.” It was then that Sims got to reveal her ring, a glimmering, cushion-cut sparkler. “I love everything about it!” she told InStyle.com, adding that she had “no idea how big it is.” Probably because she wasn’t privy to the details: “[Stuber] designed it,” she said. “He did it with my girlfriend on his own. He surprised me; I never sent him a picture. He did it all.” Tell us: What do you think of Sims’s ring? –Kim Peiffer, with reporting by Reagan Alexander

James Franco Adds Fashion Photographer to His Packed Résumé

James Franco for ELLE
Courtesy ELLE; Inset: Shooting Star

James Franco has long since perfected his James Dean smolder, but in the July issue of ELLE, the multi-talented star reveals his surprising prowess behind the lens. In a portfolio for the magazine, Franco depicts top model Agyness Deyn as a modern day rabble-rouser. Choosing Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont, where Rebel Without a Cause director Nichols Ray lived while filming, Franco pulled from his experience playing Dean in a 2001 TNT biopic. Capturing what he calls the “ripples and echoes” of the film on the cultural zeitgeist, Franco explores Rebel‘s underlying themes of sexuality in the androgynous spread. And while reticent to say too much, Franco describes the images as incorporating motorcycles, nudity and “extreme bondage … crazy stuff.” Check out a picture of Franco in a helicopter as well as portraits of a nearly unrecognizable Deyn, below. Bella Swan’s ‘Breaking Dawn’ Wedding Dress Designer: Carolina Herrera

Michael Dills/Getty (4)

Who knew Bella Swan was such a fashionista? Carolina Herrera, a designer loved by Renée Zellweger, Sofia Vergara, Amy Adams and a slew of other stars, announced today that she designed the wedding dress Kristen Stewart wears in Breaking Dawn Part I. “It is always a great pleasure to design any wedding gown, but this one was particularly special,” Herrera, who made Christina Hendricks’s wedding dress, said in a statement. “Kristen is a stunning girl and her character, Bella, will make a beautiful bride.” In a 15-second preview that aired during the MTV Movie Awards on June 5, we saw tiny snippets of Bella’s wedding look: her hair was up, her sleeves were long. A beaming Edward Cullen gazed at his bride as she walked down the aisle, flowers in hand, a delicate comb in her hair to hold her veil in place. Few details have come out regarding the gown, which Stewart promised would be “beautiful,” but in the glimpses we see, it appears to possibly be similar to this sketch, featured in writer Stephanie Meyer’s graphic novel, The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide. Or perhaps it will be similar to one of Herrera’s most recent bridal creations, several of which are seen above. What do you think? Tell us: How do you imagine the Breaking Dawn wedding gown?
