Current Obsession: Beyoncé's Curls!

06/30/2011 at 06:00 PM ET

Beyonce's Curly HairAdmedia; Fame; Abaca

Who run the world? Curls! It seems that Beyoncé left the flatiron at home when she visited Europe this week, instead choosing to let her curls coil freely. The singing star got the show going at the Glastonbury music festival in England Sunday, sparkling in a sexy Alexandre Vauthier mini, her hair blowing in the breeze. For a trip to Harrods Monday, she slipped into a curve-hugging tangerine peplum sheath and pumped up the volume in her locks. Then Tuesday, Beyoncé shimmered during a visit to Paris to perform on the X-Factor, her curls falling gently on her shoulders. We haven’t seen Beyoncé go so au naturel in a while — but we have to say we like it! What do you think?

She looks beautiful both ways, I can’t choose! Also, the album is amazing, I really hope people take to this one. You must buy it!

Come on, Beyonce. What were you thinking? Better yet what was your hair stylist thinking? Beyonce’s hair looks so dry and brittle. Go back to the expensive straighteners and hot irons. Look is so much better!!!

Beyoncé’s big, magnificent hair fits perfectly with her popstar persona; it’s also her natural texture. It really makes her the center of attention. Beyoncé’s straighted hair looked ok/average straightened celebrity hair, but her curly hair is gorgeous!

I say those expensive straighteners, hair coloring and hot irons are very damaging to your hair, especially African American hair. Her natural beauty is her best asset. Straight hair is not the epitome of beauty at it’s beast.

[...] it comes to styling her curls, the singer is all about simplicity. “My favorite is still a high ponytail,” she says. [...]

Seriously, buy her album! I bought the deluxe and it was so worth it! Love every song on it and that hasn’t happened since her debut album. ;) Every last one of those tracks need to be in the top 10 at some point!

My hair is naturally curly and a little dry, so a leave-in spray is practically a necessity. Shielo Antioxidant Leave in Spray was the first leave-in spray I ever had good results with. I’ve tried many other brands from stores and salons, but none so far have given as much non-greasy shine, plus moderate frizz control, as the Shielo Leave-In Spray. It’s very light, so you can use a little or a lot depending on your hair, and it doesn’t leave a “waxy” feeling like some other leave-in’s can. I know some people with kind of oily hair who don’t like this product, but it’s fantastic for my hair type!
