Prepare to be “thrilled!” Julien’s Auctions, an entertainment and celebrity auction house based in Beverly Hills, recently announced a two-day summer auction event featuring more than 600 pieces of memorabilia from musicians like The Beatles, Madonna, Elvis Presley, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and more. But the highlight is the debut of Michael Jackson’s red calf leather “Thriller” jacket, valued at $200,000 to $400,000. Jackson wore the iconic jacket during the filming of the epic video “Thriller,” which was released in 1982 (the album of the same name remains the highest selling of all time). The memorable piece has a Marc Laurent Paris label, and inside the lining an inscription to Jackson’s longtime costume designers reads, “To Bush and Dennis, All My Love, Michael Jackson.” The auction takes place live and online on June 25 and 26.
