Like aunt, like niece? The Arquette-Cox clan seemed to make hair a family affair this weekend. Patricia Arquette, formerly of Medium, was spotted out in Beverly Hills Saturday with a full head of purplely-blue hair, pulled back into a ponytail. Then Sunday, Courteney Cox‘s daughter Coco, 7 today, emerged from a Malibu salon with purple and blue streaks in her light brown locks, courtesy of mom. Though Cox is currently estranged from husband David Arquette (though they’re still friendly), it’s possible Coco is still taking style cues from dad’s side of the family. Or maybe her new hairstyle was a birthday treat? Tell us: What do you think of the Arquette ladies’ new hues?

There is no bleach at all in Coco’s hair. Not permanent, not toxic, not dangerous, and not at all “too old for her.” In fact, the look is too young for Patricia.

It’s cute! My sister is a hair dresser and I let her dye my 3yr old daughter’s hair pink & purple. It was really cute!! It came out in 2 weeks and her hair is back to normal.

Geez!!! You people are so judgemental!! It is hair dye and it washes out! I use to do it all the time when I was younger and it came out when I washed my hair. I also dyed my sons hair blue once for a football game, he was 6, and guess what???!! It came out that night when I WASHED HIS HAIR! It was fun for him and it didn’t last. Some people make a mountain out of a mole hill!

I think it’s cute. When our kids were in school, they would color their hair with orange and black (school colors) for football games. It washed out easily.

For all you people using the argument that its “not permanent, not toxic, etc” you don’t actually know that. Yes she is Courtney’s Child and its her choice and thats enough of a reason not to get panties in a knot. I personally would not let my 7yr old dye her hair but thats just me. But don’t use “facts” to back up an arguement if you can’t prove them :D

Having over 200 kids go thru my home from foster care I know that this is just the being of this child’s innocence being exploited and the beginning of precocious behavior.

M. Walker, you are INSANE… I can’t believe you’re allowed to foster anything.

My boys wanted highlights once when I was doing my hair and we just put a little on the ends, they were like 5, 8, and 12. And HEY, guess what, they are still alive, one is in the Army, one works full time and lives on his own, and one is beginning college in the fall…

It’s NOT the end of the world. Let kids be kids. It grows or washes out and I’m sure Courteney Cox wouldn’t do anything to harm or “exploit” her child.

My 4 year old wanted pink hair for the summer so we agreed that once school was out, we’d put some pink streaks in her hair. Went and bought the non bleaching stuff that lasts 2 or so weeks. I don’t see the issue. People will dress their children like adults and that fine, but kids can’t have fun with their hair? I’d rather have my child ask for pink hair than a pair of stripper boots or booty short.
