Chord Overstreet Ditches His Long Blond Locks

Someone’s taking a cue from his costar! Just days after Glee‘s Dianna Agron debuted her short new look — posting video of her dramatic haircut to her blog — another of the show’s stars has taken a plunge. This time, it was Chord Overstreet, who plays hunky singer Sam on the hit show. The actor — who’s been seen spending time with starlet Emma Roberts lately — showed up at KIIS FM’s Wango Tango concert in Los Angeles Saturday night sporting a shorter, darker do. “At the end of the season, I just wanted a haircut,” he told reporters before the concert, echoing Agron’s sentiment. “So I just cut it all off.” As for the hair hue, which was once bright blond, Overstreet had a simple explanation: “I cut the highlights out.” Wonder which Glee star will make the cut next! Tell us: What do you think of Overstreet’s new look?

Oprah Winfrey’s Stylists Weigh in on Her Fashion Hits and Misses

Oprah Winfrey style
George Burns (2)

She may be the reigning queen of talk, but even Oprah Winfrey has made some questionable fashion choices in her 25 years on air. So in the June issue of O, The Oprah Magazine, Winfrey’s pals Adam Glassman, creative director of the magazine, and Kelly Hurliman, her stylist for the past six years, weigh in on nine of the soon-to-be-retiree’s fashion hits and misses. The red suit (left) Winfrey wore on the 2004 season premiere — when she gifted the entire audience with new cars — won props from her fashionable friends. “That is my all-time favorite,” Glassman says in the mag. “It was from Michael Kors’s last collection for Celine.” However, not everyone loved the suit. “Gayle [King] and the producer came to us right before the show started and said, ‘We don’t think she should wear that. It’s not fun enough,’” recalls Hurliman. “Oprah said, ‘I love this suit, it’s the right look, I’m not changing.’ When that picture was shown around the world, of her sitting on top of the car in a red suit, it was brilliant.” Not so brilliant? Her long yellow jersey dress (right), affectionately called a schmatte. “Between tapings she always put on something really comfortable,” Glassman shares. “But instead of sweatpants, this time it was a long dress.” And it stayed on through taping. “She felt cute in her schmatte and wanted to know why she couldn’t do the next show that way,” Hurliman says, recalling Winfrey’s words: “‘I’m comfortable … I feel like me.’” To see more hits and misses, pick up the June issue of O, on newsstands Tuesday.

Jennie Garth: Primping for ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Was ‘Misery!’

The sexy little outfits, big ballroom moves and celeb-studded crowds may seem glamorous, but Jennie Garth says life on Dancing with the Stars isn’t always as it appears. “[It was] misery,” she told PEOPLE recently on the set of the Dove Close-Up Challenge commercial shoot. “I was exhausted with the upkeep of me during that time. The skin and the makeup and the hair and the costumes. There was just so much you had to think about other than the dance.” Though the prep time was tough, Garth — who appeared on season five in 2007 — does admit loving the payoff. “I could eat whatever I wanted and just dance it off,” she shared. “I was in really great shape for about five minutes, and then once you stop dancing eight hours a day, it goes away.” To stay healthy now, Garth keeps a mostly gluten-free, vegetarian diet — though she does sneak a cupcake now and then. “I just keep my food as healthy as possible,” she said. Garth starts her day with 10 minutes of meditation — “I like to have the window open,” she said — and finds time to go for a walk or jog. “I go for walks with my hand weights,” she said. “I’m punching, doing my little arm-weight lifting and people just think, ‘That lady’s weird!’”

EXCLUSIVE: Rose Byrne Breaks Down Her Three Favorite Looks

Bridesmaids movie
Jemal Countess/WireImage; Splash News Online (2)

You may recognize Rose Byrne as the brunette with the impossibly perfect bangs. You may also know her as shrewd lawyer Ellen Parsons on the FX drama Damages — or even as the lucky lady who beds Brad Pitt in Troy. Regardless of how you know her, one thing’s for sure: the girl can dress. In celebration of the star’s ensemble comedy Bridesmaids (out today!), we asked Byrne to highlight her three favorite looks from the past year. “I love dressing boyishly,” she tells PEOPLE of a Tommy Hilfiger blouse and trouser combo. “I love my big hair too — [stylist] Harry [Josh] put it up for the first time with the bangs.” Of a bold pink Prabal Gurung shift, Byrne says she was initially hesitant. “I was nervous,” she admits. “But it was perfect — gorgeous and modern.” Her final favorite outfit, a fairytale Ralph Lauren moment, was a no-brainer. “This is my favorite cut, a full dramatic skirt with a fitted top,” she says. “I was debating whether to team with a belt, but decided against as it seemed more classic without.” We couldn’t agree more. Tell us: Which of Byrne’s looks is your favorite?Justine Harman
