Jennifer Lopez’s Stylists: She’s a Fashion Expert!

Jennifer Lopez Fashion on American Idol

When Jennifer Lopez‘s American Idol contract runs out, the star could have another lucrative career — as a celebrity stylist! Wardrobe designers Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn say the fashion plate knows her Prabal from her Prada. “She’s been in this industry a long time,” Zangardi tells WWD when asked about the duo’s “most informed” client. “It comes with experience.” And Lopez’s discerning support serves as a boon to the industry. “On American Idol recently [she] wore an asymmetric fuchsia Valentino top that we were told sold out the next days,” he says. However, Lopez may want to weigh her options before getting in the styling biz. Though the duo helps A-listers including Rihanna and Kerry Washington find the perfect red-carpet dresses, the job has its tedious aspects. “We bagged up every outfit with shoes and accessories, so everything is paint-by-numbers,” Zangardi says of client Rachel McAdams‘s Cannes Film Festival Marchesa moment. “The final look is extremely glamorous but getting to that point often not so!” –Justine Harman

The Kardashian Sisters Share Their Budget Beauty Essentials

Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian Share Their Beauty Secrets
Clark Samuels/Startraks

Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian may have access to some of the best hair and makeup artists in the world, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have a few beauty tricks of their own. The reality stars spoke to PEOPLE in N.Y.C. on Friday about some of the take-home tips they’ve learned throughout the years — and it turns out they aren’t all that fancy. “Once a week I take Vaseline and I put it on my knees my elbows and my feet and I sleep in it because sometimes I just hate being dry,” Khloe shared at the John Frieda “Destination: Style” salon, a mobile salon making its way across the country to offer women free hair consultations and styling tips. “I put socks on over my feet and I swear it’s like the cheapest thing you can buy and you’re so moisturized.” For big sis Kourtney, it’s all about the moisturizer, too. “I started putting Aquaphor all over my face,” she revealed. “It’s so healing, especially if you’re in the sun — I mix it with serum and I just put it all over my face.” But their oldest beauty secret — one they learned in childhood — is a classic trick they picked up from mom Kris Jenner. “She always tells us to use a hot washcloth and scrub up your face. She tells us that like every day,” said Kourtney. “She says to get a scalding hot washcloth and put it on your face and it’ll steam your pores and scrub it and everything will come out,” added Khloe. “I’ll do it once in a while but she lives by this and embeds it into our brains. We’re like, ‘We get it, we get it!’” When it comes to hair, though, the girls aren’t quite as confident. That’s where the Destination: Style salon comes in. “I love it because I get my hair done all the time, but if I’m not getting it done, I really don’t know what to do on my own,” Khloe said. “I’ve never really sat down and asked questions. So I love that you get 15 minutes with a John Frieda stylist. You tell them your concerns and your problem areas, and they give you solutions on how to fix it.” Tell us: What are your best beauty secrets? –Kim Peiffer

Elizabeth Olsen has older sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley to look up to in the acting department, but these days she’s following their lead in the fashion world, as well. The younger Olsen, recently bitten by the acting bug, showed off some of her sisters’ sweet designs from The Row while in France for the Cannes Film Festival on Sunday. During a photo call to promote her new movie, Martha Marcy May Marlene, Olsen wore a more casual ensemble featuring an intricately designed white blouse and skirt, which she paired with flat strappy sandals and simple, tousled hair. For the film’s premiere that evening, the actress spiced things up with an edgier black beaded blouse and silk skirt, made elegant with a matching clutch and swept-back hairstyle. Très jolie! Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton’s Wedding Rings: All the Details!

Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert may have enjoyed venison harvested by the bride during their Saturday night wedding, but their nuptials did have at least one glamorous element: the bling. The lovebirds, who tied the knot at the Don Strange Ranch in Boerne, Texas, exchanged custom-made rings designed by Beverly Hills jeweler Johnathon Arndt. (Arndt also crafted Carrie Underwood‘s engagement ring and wedding band.) According to a release, Arndt created a 5-carat white diamond “Eternity” ring for Lambert, designed to complement her stunning engagement ring. Shelton’s wedding band was a bit more unique, based on one of his tattoos. Arndt first made a sketch of the ink, then spent 60 days hand engraving the ring, which features a black diamond mounted on the inside — a special request from Lambert. As for the bride’s wedding day look, Arndt says that she walked down the aisle wearing a $1.2 million three-tier, 30-carat diamond necklace, plus diamond teardrop earrings to match. For the reception, the country cutie added a $250,000 cocktail ring from Arndt’s 2011 “Bombay” collection, a sparkler that boasted 60 carats of multi-colored sapphires set in 18-karat black gold. She also slipped into a Karen Lindner Designs freshwater pearl and vintage rhinestone tangle necklace, which featured a 1940s-era pave sterling bird brooch. (Her bridesmaids wore necklaces by the designer, as well.) Guess everything is bigger in Texas! –Kate Hogan

Kim Kardashian’s Newest Fragrance Makes Her “Feel Sexy”

Kim Kardashian Perfume
Alexander Tamargo/WireImage

“When my dad would go away on trips he always came back with a special perfume for me,” Kim Kardashian recalls. “I hated when he bought perfume for his girlfriends, but loved it when he bought me a glamorous bottle of his favorite scent of gardenia. So when I was developing Gold, I thought of him and other happy times in my childhood.” Thinking this time of summer nights, she “pumped up” some elements of her original 2009 fragrance, Kim Kardashian, and made Gold, her latest scent, glitter and soar for nocturnal soirees. “To me, summer is sexy, beachy and glamorous with thoughts turning to romantic evenings,” Kardashian told PEOPLE Saturday at the launch of Kim Kardashian Gold at Macy’s in Aventura Mall, outside Miami. “I wanted something powerful yet not too sweet. I got stressed out while developing the scent because I wanted it to be just perfect.” The fragrance combines sparkling top notes of Italian bergamot and grapefruit with a sniff of spicy pink peppercorn, plus a floral heart of jasmine, delicate rose and golden resins of amber and creamy benzoin. Musk gives the strong scent a last blush of elegance. And while notes weren’t easy to choose, deciding on the golden bottle’s rounded shape took even more work. “I am very hands on with my fragrances,” she explained. “I really didn’t want a square bottle of any type. I am curvy and think my fragrance should represent me. So I picked a sleek round vessel in gold with ebony accents.” Comparing her fragrance it to an extra-special piece of everyday jewelry, Kardashian says she uses her Gold perfume nightly. “I spray myself before I go out,” she said. “The fragrance makes me feel sexy.” –Linda Marx
