Stars Turn Out in Style for Oprah Winfrey’s Farewell Taping

It might as well have been the Oscars. Megawatt stars like Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Dakota Fanning, Alicia Keys, Aretha Franklin, Maria Shriver and more showed up to fête Oprah Winfrey in Chicago Tuesday night as she filmed two of her final Oprah Winfrey Show episodes. “I feel the love, and I thank you for it,” Winfrey told her famous friends — and the crowd of 13,000 fans inside Chicago’s United Center — as the festivities rolled on. And naturally, for such a big event, stars brought out big style. Halle Berry, in Victoria Beckham, joined Katie Holmes, in shorts and a blouse, and an LBD-clad Queen Latifah for a touching Winfrey tribute. Madonna wore a dress from Miu Miu‘s fall/winter 2011 collection, while Beyoncé performed in a tuxedo-inspired leotard and hot red heels. Not to be outdone, Winfrey — perhaps dressed by her stylist? — looked regal in a floor-length purple L’Wren Scott gown, green gems and a slicked-back ponytail. Nary a fashion miss to be seen! Jordin Sparks on Her Bikini Photo: I Just Liked the Bathing Suit

Jordin Sparks‘s now-infamous bikini shot set tongues wagging when in hit Twitter earlier this month. But the former American Idol says she was just sharing a shot of her cute new swimwear. “I was actually taking the picture because I liked the bathing suit,” she told reporters Saturday at KIIS FM’s Wango Tango concert in L.A. “I mixed and matched it. The top was from Target and the bottoms were from Old Navy, and I was like, ‘Oh, they match!’ So I took the picture.” The new suit — which prevents tan lines, Sparks said — is just one way the singer is flaunting her newly slimmed physique. “In December, something just kind of clicked,” she explained. “Instead of talking about being active I decided to just go do it.” The singer, who lives in Arizona, took up hiking and Zumba, too. “Being able to just stand and dance and not realize I’m burning calories … is just the most amazing thing,” she said. Now happy to show off her waist — “usually a cinched belt works well,” she shared — the singer isn’t shy to reveal her other favorite body parts, too. “I love my smile,” she added. “It took ten years of orthodontics!”

‘Gossip Girl’ Star Tika Sumpter: The Show’s Wardrobe ‘Opened My World’

Imagine having racks stocked with Moschino, Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs and Chanel all at your fingertips, with the shoes, coats and bags to match. Such is the daily dreamland of Gossip Girl‘s new Upper East Side diva Raina Thorpe, a.k.a. actress Tika Sumpter, the latest star soaking up the on-set fashion fare. “The Gossip Girl wardrobe opened my world,” Sumpter tells Vogue Italia. “Pre-Gossp Girl, I dressed for comfort. It was kind of boho chic.” Now the former One Life to Live star says she’s picking up tips and tricks, especially when it comes to accessorizing. “Something as simple as a shoe or belt can lift your whole wardrobe,” she shares. “Learning about so many designers has been really exciting.” She’s also started to master the balance of pairing pricey items with the not-so-wallet-bending ones. “I’ve learned that everything doesn’t have to be high-end,” she says, though admitting, “I recently bought these Balenciaga trousers. Seeing Double: Cory Monteith and Chord Overstreet Suit up Similarly

We’d do a double take at Glee‘s resident hotties any day, but costars Cory Monteith and Chord Overstreet really had us looking twice at the FOX Upfronts in New York City Monday night! Both of the singing studs wore light gray suits, collar shirts and dapper striped ties — plus bold frames — while walking the bright blue carpet at the media presentation. The guys looked even more alike thanks to Overstreet’s new hairstyle; he recently chopped his hair and lost the blond highlights he sports on Glee, leaving him with short brunette hair like Monteith. ‘Real Housewives’ Star Alexis Bellino Dishes on Her Dual Clothing Lines

She’s a mom and reality star, but Alexis Bellino of The Real Housewives of Orange County has somehow found the time to design two clothing lines, too. The California girl recently unveiled her dual collections, Alexis Couture and Alexis Casual, available on her website now. But conceiving her clothing wasn’t without, well, the expected Housewives drama. “There’s been a lot of sweat and tears and yelling,” Bellino jokes to PEOPLE. “It hasn’t been easy. But I also didn’t expect it to come together as smoothly as it did.” Bellino, who says she was “always that girl” bringing dresses to the tailor to be altered to her liking, decided she wanted to get into fashion design about two years ago. “I had a vision, and wanted to go to a couple designers to see if they had the same vision I had, and if we could make it work,” she explains. She often describes the look or piece she’s going for to the designer, who then whips up a prototype and consults with Bellino on fabrics and details. “I’ll say, ‘OK, I love this for the line, but let’s move this, change this, add a sleeve here,’” she explains. “It’s made me realize my vision.” Bellino says her favorite Casual pieces are the maxi dresses (above), designed in part for moms on the go. “I live in them,” she shares. “Running around with three kids, sitting on the floor, getting in and out of the car, playing in the park … a short dress isn’t going to work for that.” The Couture line (above), made with more expensive fabrics, features flowing dresses Bellino says are perfect for a night out. But regardless of the differences between the two collections, Bellino is just proud to have her project out there. “I’m just so excited,” she shares. “Hopefully this will allow women to find that one dress that looks very expensive, but is really very affordable, girly and sexy.” –Kate Hogan

David Arquette is professing his love — with a line of T-shirts!
