The focus of Monaco’s weekend Grand Prix may have been the big race, but Prince Albert II’s fiancé, Charlene Wittstock, was in a fashionable Grand Prix of her own. The South African former swimmer wore not one, but five custom ensembles created by Swiss designer Albert Kriemler of Akris for various happenings surrounding the prestigious event. First up, a black stone appliqué corseted bustier with silk chiffon pants, which she accessorized with the Akris “Alice bag,” worn to the Amber Lounge Fashion Monaco event on May 27. For the Grand Prix qualifying race May 28, she wore a sand-hued double-face cotton gabardine bustier with matching skirt; that evening she went elegant in her namesake “Miss Charlene” one-shouldered silk jersey dress. Wittstock continued to show off her designer of choice by sporting two looks the following day: she chose a printed voile day dress in the morning and for the evening gala, she paired an olive paillette gown with a mini “Ai” bag in horsehair. This isn’t the first time Wittstock has chosen Akris for a momentous occasion — she recently wore a custom Akris frock to the royal wedding. However, she’ll be walking down the aisle in a Giorgio Armani gown during her upcoming nuptials on July 2. Tell us: What do you think of Wittstock’s wardrobe changes? –Kim Peiffer

Seeming to try to put lipstick on a pig…she is a high school drop out…has undergone extensive plastic surgery to be presentable…and is in the midst of a PR campaign wedding. There is nothing stunning…classy…statuesque…about her. She is a dressed up self-professed booty call. She looks manly…even despite the boob job…IMO princess material…not reall…

Wow, Ben, you sound really bitter! I think Charlene is gorgeous. She’s stauesque and stunning. No one will ever compare to Grace Kelly but Charlene is a classy fashion icon in her own right.

She looks grotesquely skinny in the center photo.

My sister has live in South Africa for over 18 years and she tell me that Charlene is from the same town of another famous Southafrican Charlese Theron. She mention also that Charlene was always this gorgeous> To me she is the pretties of of the new princesses.

Who cares if she wasn’t rich or came from a prominent family. She has it all now, and she seems to make prince Albert very happy. Hey, she must have something cos she tamed the prince who’s been well known as womanizer for a long long time. kudos to Charlene

I think she looks fabulous. She was an absolute knockout at the wedding of William and Kate; one of the best dressed and classiest looking in attendance.

She is is pretty but her she doesn’t seem to know how to dress to hide her very broad shoulders. Her shoulders make her head look very puny, exposing them doesn’t hide them.

Gorgeous! I’m not sure where all the bile is coming from – she’s beautiful and has lived a normal life, with all of its ups and downs. I hope they’re very happy.

The shoulders are probably from the swimming, so she might like showing them off.

‘Princess material’ doesn’t really exist anymore, few are eager to take on the life unless they has a fame wish and are therefore on the less classy spectrum. Albert has been looking for a wife for a long time, so hopefully this is a happy fit for him!

Why does she have her shoes off near the food buffet? (the pic with the off the shoulder dress)

She has gorgeous shoulders–why hide them?
