Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert may have enjoyed venison harvested by the bride during their Saturday night wedding, but their nuptials did have at least one glamorous element: the bling. The lovebirds, who tied the knot at the Don Strange Ranch in Boerne, Texas, exchanged custom-made rings designed by Beverly Hills jeweler Johnathon Arndt. (Arndt also crafted Carrie Underwood‘s engagement ring and wedding band.) According to a release, Arndt created a 5-carat white diamond “Eternity” ring for Lambert, designed to complement her stunning engagement ring. Shelton’s wedding band was a bit more unique, based on one of his tattoos. Arndt first made a sketch of the ink, then spent 60 days hand engraving the ring, which features a black diamond mounted on the inside — a special request from Lambert. As for the bride’s wedding day look, Arndt says that she walked down the aisle wearing a $1.2 million three-tier, 30-carat diamond necklace, plus diamond teardrop earrings to match. For the reception, the country cutie added a $250,000 cocktail ring from Arndt’s 2011 “Bombay” collection, a sparkler that boasted 60 carats of multi-colored sapphires set in 18-karat black gold. She also slipped into a Karen Lindner Designs freshwater pearl and vintage rhinestone tangle necklace, which featured a 1940s-era pave sterling bird brooch. (Her bridesmaids wore necklaces by the designer, as well.) Guess everything is bigger in Texas! –Kate Hogan

Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood do the most charity and Tim and Faith. Miranda has her MuttNation, mostly managed by her mom. Blake, maybe St. Judds and that is all. Carrie funds an animal shelter in her home town, the Temporary Home Foundation, The CATS Foundation, which includes schools in her home town, and she gives to St. Judd and the Children’s Miracle Network. The Flatts do St. Juddy, CMN and a Christmas tree for needy families through JC Penney, EVERY YEAR.

Where is it a law that says they have to give to charity anyway? Thank you Sandra for you post about them doing more for charity than most on here..Life is way to short to be unhappy, so smile and enjoy life..

Amelia, Honey breathe a little and grow up! Eating venison is NOT murder! Our fathers and grandfathers have been eating it for years and yes, they did eat it in Biblical days! If you don’t like meat that’s fine, but it’s not murder! Venison is very good meat, if prepared properly. They chose to eat it at their wedding and that’s their business. If you don’t like it, well, it is their business!…LOL. I don’t consider Miranda or Blake as “backwoods”. She is very down to Earth and a real person. Unlike some of the other celebs of current times. So sit in your corner and eat your tofu, but let us enjoy our meat!!

For the person who said that Miranda had “no class”. Excuse me, but Miranda has more class in his little finger than a lot of people! She is probably one of the classiest women in country right now! Sure, she tells it like it is, but that is what makes her such a real and genuine person. She is what she is. She doesn’t try to put on a show. She encountered a lot of hardships growing up and has overcome them. She is one of the most talented singers around these days, but she does have class!!

If you think hunting for meat is murder, you’ve watched Bambi too many times. Your ancestors hunted for meat for survival. Most humans are still carnivores. Miranda was not hunting just for sport, hunters help to thin herds so that deer don’t starve and over graze the land. Texas has had a drought and grasses will be depleted. Eating the kill is the most justifiable type of hunting. Oh and Ms. Bushyhead (apt name by the way), it is hyphenate…for heaven’s sake LEARN TO SPELL!

You need to update your dictionary Amelia or maybe read beyond what suits your personal agenda. Harvest also means “to catch, shoot, trap, etc. fish or game, often for commercial purposes” and “to get something as the result of an action or effort. There is no sense in attempting to speak rationally with someone, apparently like you, that wishes to make a moral equivalence of animals and people by using the term “murder”. And since you profess yourself to be such a symantics expert…check out that the term murder only applies to human beings…you’ll find that in your favorite dictionary too!
