As Catherine Middleton walked down the aisle in Westminster Abbey last Friday, she smelled like a vase of white flowers quivering in the breeze. Well, at least, her perfume did. The Duchess of Cambridge wore White Gardenia Petals, a scent by Illuminum, on her big day — and already, the fine fragrance is sold out worldwide. The perfume contains notes of coconut, muguet (a.k.a. lily of the valley), ylang ylang, amber wood and jasmine, and retails for $140 (Americans can pre-order at Michelle Obama is also a fan of the brand, started by hairdresser Michael Boadi, former stylist to stars like Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss. “I am both thrilled and honoured that [Kate] chose to wear White Gardenia Petals,” Boadi said in a statement, “as she embodies the fresh, British beauty that inspired its creation.” A rep for Illuminum tells PEOPLE that Kate chose White Gardenia Petals from a selection of fragrances, but why she went with this particular scent was a personal decision. Though that fragrance was just for her, the bride wanted her wedding guests to have a pleasant olfactory experience, as well. The Daily Mail reports that Kate stocked Abbey bathrooms with her favorite scented candles and toiletries from Jo Malone on Friday, giving guests whiffs of orange blossom, grapefruit, and lime, basil and mandarin. When asked for comment, the company played coy, simply stating, “Jo Malone is honoured to have been involved with the Royal Wedding.” —Reporting by Dimi Gaidatzi

So once people have bought and worn the perfume what exactly do they think is going to happen to them? Do they think they are going to BECOME Kate? These people obviously have more money than sense.

who cares if they have sense, when they have scents!

karen please, it is simply a way for someone to feel that they are a part of something larger than themselves. why begrude someone the good feeling they get from feeling, that in some small way they were a part of a very beautiful ceremony and very happy day. live and let live. i wish that’s all it took for someone to be happy.

There sure are a lot of jealous nellies on this page. Why’d you bother to read the article and make a comment if you weren’t interested? Oh yeah, to moan, goan and piss all over everyone else. Go away now and bash on something else, apparently that is the only way you feel good about yourself. Have a nice day!

I am sure that people’s tax money also payed for her perfume. Her wedding estimated 50 mil. gues who payed it??? Tax money.I would be really ashamed of that fact. I would cover my face and the carrige instead of waving to people. SHAME ON YOU KATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s not Kate’s fault that tax money paid for her wedding. That is how it has been for generations for the British, the monarchy is just ornamental but still it is part of their government and that is the way things are done there. All the British people lining the streets waving flags knew that. At least their money went to something uplifting and positive. Americans don’t have much more of a choice how their tax money is spent than the British do. I’d rather mine have been spent on that wedding than sent to Pakistan where they are harboring terrorists, but I didn’t have a choice, did I now. They don’t ask me how they can spend my tax money.
