Reese Witherspoon’s Wedding Shoes: From Jimmy Choo to Cowboy Boots!

Reese Witherspoon Wedding ShoesMichael Rozman/Warner Bros.

As Reese Witherspoon walked down the aisle at her March 26 wedding, we know she sported some seriously pretty Jimmy Choo shoes. But when it came time to dance at the reception, the southern belle kicked off her heels — literally! “I changed into cowboy boots, from those awful, uncomfortable shoes,” she shares during an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing today. Sounds like the change was necessary: Witherspoon and her guests danced for hours to the music of a DJ and a bluegrass and rockabilly band. “I’m a big country music fan,” Witherspoon reveals, adding that she and husband Jim Toth didn’t have just one song they danced to that night, but instead, “tons and tons of country music.” Witherspoon, who says the wedding was small and included just family and close friends, admits that she was nervous on her big day, too. “I don’t like having birthday parties,” she shares. “I mean, I like going to parties. I just don’t like it when it’s about me. Which is so bizarre but … once I’m there, I’m having the best time.” For more on Witherspoon’s big day, check out The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing today. –Kate Hogan

Lauren Bush’s Married Name? Lauren Lauren

Lauren Bush Wedding
Courtesy Harper’s Bazaar

When she met David Lauren on a rainy New York night in April of 2004, the last thing on model Lauren Bush’s mind was how their names might sound together if they married. But now, seven years later, the two are engaged, and the 26-year-old is facing the fact that she’ll soon be Lauren Lauren. “Out of all the people I could’ve met and fallen in love with,” she jokes in the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar. “It’s just ironic that David would end up with someone named Lauren.” So how to solve the problem? “I think it will be Lauren Bush-Lauren,” she says. “That’s not final, but I think it’s nice to have the same name as your husband. I am sort of old-fashioned in that way.” Luckily for Bush — granddaughter and niece of former presidents George H.W. and George W. Bush, respectively — the task of finding a wedding dress designer was easy: she just had to ask her future father-in-law, Ralph Lauren. While fashion falls to the groom’s side of the family, Lauren, who started modeling in high school, has established a style career of her own. She co-founded FEED Projects while studying at Princeton in 2005, and since, has designed wildly popular totes (and collaborated on items like high-end clutches) which have provided more than 58 million meals for needy children in nearly 75 countries. On top of that, she launched an eco-friendly clothing line, Lauren Pierce Atelier, in 2008, as well. So where does she get her passion for fashion? From her grandmother, former first lady Barbara Bush. “She has always paid attention to fashion,” Bush says. “She is a very assertive grandma; she’ll let you know if she likes what you’re wearing or not.” The May issue of Harper’s Bazaar hits stands April 26. –Kate Hogan

Nicole Richie Can’t Live Without Sunglasses and Comfy High Heels

Nicole Richie on Sunglasses and Shoes

When it comes to fashion, Nicole Richie knows what she likes and what she doesn’t. And when it comes to accessories, she says there are a few essentials that can make or break a look. The stylish star tells teenvogue.com that sunglasses are a vital part of completing any ensemble. “I view them as fun masks to accessorize your face,” say Richie, who admits to owning more than 200 pairs. “But in my defense,” she says, laughing, “I make sunglasses, so I have to research-shop, and I own every pair I’ve ever designed.” And even when she’s putting together a simple look like basic jeans and a T-shirt (her go-to outfit), the Winter Kate and House of Harlow 1960 designer says, “you change the look with accessories. And by accessories, I mean sunglasses, head scarves, shoes, bed jackets.” But just because she’s a fashion guru doesn’t mean she will wear anything to look trendy. “Comfort takes precedence for me,” she says, showing off her killer high heels as proof. “These are superhigh, but because they have a built-in platform, they don’t feel like it. I am not that girl who can do superarched heels,” she says. “All the shoes I design have a cushion and a platform.”  Sunglasses and comfy heels? We can handle that. Tell us: What’s your most important accessory? –Kim Peiffer

Lily Aldridge for Victoria's Secret BridalRichie Buxo/Splash News Online

“There’s nothing better than having sexy lingerie under your beautiful [bridal] gown,” declares model Lily Aldridge. “And having it for later on in the evening.” Such is the thinking behind Victoria’s Secret’s new bridal collection, “Sexy Little Bride,” fronted by the 25-year-old Angel. Being named the face of the line couldn’t have come at a better time for Aldridge, who gushes, “I’ll be a bride soon!” In fact, the model is set to wed Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill, 29, who proposed in September. In the lingerie campaign, Aldridge models the delicate “Balconet” push-up bra ($37-$40), along with the matching panty set, garter and garter belt. The collection also features the crystal-embellished satin “Bride Kimono,” used to stay covered up while getting glam, and the “So Curvaceous Bridal Slip” ($58), which helps define your figure and gives your backside a lift. For the bachelorette party, there’s the bow- and crystal-embellished bridal babydoll ($68) and a bridal hoodie ($78). “Every kind of bride can find what they’re looking for,” says Aldridge of the collection. “I do!” See her model more looks from the line in the clip below, and shop the line for yourself at victoriassecret.com. –Jessica Herndon

Serena Williams’s Hot Pink Bodysuit Explained

Serena Williams Pink Bodysuit ExplainedCourtesy Serena Williams

When Serena William posted a TwitPic of herself playing tennis in a hot pink bodysuit last week, she sent the fashion world into a frenzy. “Honestly, I just Tweeted a picture in the suit and I didn’t realize it would go that crazy,” she told PEOPLE Tuesday night at the Range Rover Evoque Event in N.Y.C. And while she finds the attention to be fairly amusing, the story behind the suit is a bit more serious. “After my hematoma, I have to wear something like a long bodysuit to keep my stomach warm,” she explained, adding the skintight suit helps for compression purposes. “My practices are really … interesting right now.” Williams, who was first sidelined from the tennis courts last year by a foot injury, then her health scare, said she hopes to return to the sport soon. But she wants the focus to be more on her form, and less on her infamous fashion. “I think I’m going to come back casual,” she shared. “I don’t want to shock too many people too much. I want it to be all about my tennis.” Off the court, her illness and injury have also affected her style: “I have to wear flats,” she said, not so happily. “Hopefully, in the summer I can wear heels. I am a girl that loves heels. I can’t wait.” Until then, Williams, who said she’s “on the up” and “feeling so much better,” is “counting her blessings” and planning her next practice outfit. When asked how long she’ll be wearing the bodysuit for, she cheekily replied, “As long as you guys want to see it.” –Jenisha Watts

Judith Leiber and FEED Team Up for a Chic (and Charitable!) Clutch

Judith Lieber creates special summer clutch

Accessory designer Judith Leiber, a red carpet fave, has partnered with Lauren Bush’s FEED Project to create a special summer clutch just in time for the warmer weather. The cute bag is made of Italian linen coated with a light, shimmery metallic foil with a beaded front panel and long brass chain strap. It retails for $495 in stores, with half the proceeds ($250) going to fight world hunger. “I am a huge fan of the clutch because it looks equally great with jeans and a T-shirt as it does with a cocktail dress,” said Bush, who has already been spotted carrying the clutch at gala events. The bag will be available beginning May 5th at judithleiber.com.
