Cam Gigandet on His New Platinum Do: My Sister Did It!

No, he’s not going out for the role of Zack Morris in a Saved by The Bell remake; when it comes to the reasoning behind Cam Gigandet’s newly yellow tresses, the man is simply having a (very) blond moment. Arriving at WonderCon in San Francisco on Saturday to promote his new film, Priest, the actor shocked fans with much lighter locks, but the look isn’t for a role. “It was just for fun,” he admitted to MTV. ”I just needed something different.” For his tress transformation, Gigandet relied on a pro: “My sister does hair and she’s great at it,” he said of celeb stylist Kelsie. Well, most of the time, he joked. “I think she’s done my hair before and it ended up orange.” As to whether or not Twihards dig it, the jury is still out. “This is kind of the first day that people are finding out, we’ll see,” he said. “Have them vote online.” So, tell us: What do you think of Gigandet as a blond? –Justine Harman

TOMS Shoes Asks: Are You Going Barefoot Today?

TOMS Shoes

Shoes are something we take for granted — we can’t get enough of stars’ designer looks — but in reality, millions of children worldwide dangerously go barefoot every day. Aiming to stop that, TOMS Shoes founder Blake Mycoskie started the One Day Without Shoes event, asking people to go barefoot so that kids don’t have to. The nationwide walk, now in its fourth year, raises awareness of the impact proper footwear can have on a child’s life. “Wearing shoes and basic hygiene can prevent both infection and disease due to unsafe roads and contaminated soil,” Mycoskie said in a statement. “By imagining a life without shoes, we can all contribute to the awareness of these conditions.” If you weren’t able to participate in your city’s walk, not to worry: for every pair of TOMS Shoes purchased, every day, the company donates a pair to a child in need. Khloé Kardashian & Lamar Odom Launch Their ‘Perfect’ Fragrance, Unbreakable

Sure their reality show debuts Sunday, but Khloé Kardashian and hubby Lamar Odom have something even more intimate out there: their unisex fragrance, Unbreakable. “The first time I smelled it, I thought it was perfect,” Odom, 31, told PEOPLE on Monday, alongside Kardashian, 26, at their fragrance launch party at Hollywood’s Redbury Hotel. “I can’t get enough of it, and what I like about it the most is the more I spray it, the more I want to wear it. It doesn’t get too offensive if I put too much on.” Though Odom and his wife wear the exact same scent, the NBA star explains it’s not weird because “pheromones” make the fragrance a “little bit different on everyone and allow it not to smell identical on any two people.” Echoes Kardashian, “I love that it’s more musk on a male and lighter on a female.” The scent has even won the approval of Kobe Bryant and Odom’s other Lakers teammates. “They love it,” he says, adding, “Of course it’s a little different from Nike … or something like that, but I’m good at being different.” Kardashian, who wed Odom in 2009, says it’s not only her husband’s aroma that drives her wild. “I love pretty much everything about Lamar,” she says. “I think Lamar is just incredibly sexy. His heart, his smile, his body, everything.” –Dahvi Shira

Ashley Greene: I Used to Be a Tomboy

Ashley Greene InStyle HairCourtesy InStyle Hair

She may be known for her pretty red carpet dresses and girly on-screen persona, but growing up, Ashley Greene says she was “definitely” a tomboy. “I was always trying to be like my older brother,” she admits in the latest issue of InStyle Hair. But as she grew up, Greene became more aware of femininity. “I got really self-conscious because I had older friends. I thought they were prettier, and they were going through all these life experiences before I was.” So Greene’s mom enrolled her in modeling classes, aimed at giving her confidence a boost. “[They] helped a lot,” she says. Now, the 24-year-old is a total glamour girl — even starring in ads for Mark cosmetics — but she hasn’t lost her tomboy roots. “I love having my hair and makeup done, but I’m really just a 15-minute girl, throwing everything on with no fuss,” she shares. Transforming into her Twilight character, Alice Cullen, however, requires two hours in the stylist’s chair. “My hair is pretty thick, and we wrap it and put it under a wig,” she explains. “To get it to fit so I don’t look like I have an alien head is a talent in itself.” Since the Twilight series began in 2008, Greene says her wig has gone through three major changes. “The newest is a classic Audrey Hepburn cut,” she shares. Perhaps we’ll see it in Breaking Dawn later this year? For more on Greene’s style evolution, pick up the latest issue of InStyle Hair, on newsstands April 8. Kate Hogan
