EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW: Tyra Banks and André Leon Talley Talk Jumpsuits on typeF.com

Since launching her new style site typeF.com last month, Tyra Banks has been busy dishing on trends, gushing over star looks and filming fashion-filled shorts, aptly called “Fa-Fa-Fa Fashion,” with pal André Leon Talley. The America’s Next Top Model judges offer their expert advice on dressing up items like trench coats and little black dresses. In this exclusive sneak peek at the latest edition, going up on Tuesday morning, it’s all about jumpsuits. “OK, this jumpsuit thing … it’s not going away and thank god it’s not going away because I’m obsessed with it,” Banks says in the clip above. It’s fun to watch the supermodel and her Vogue editor pal banter, and not only do they talk fashion history and give great tips (pick up some fabric dye and turn your tan trench from “blah” to “rrrr,” Banks advises), they raise some good points, too. Like with jumpsuits, Banks says, “We’ve just got to figure out the going to the bathroom thing.” Catch the full episode of “Fa-Fa-Fa Fashion” on typeF.com Tuesday morning.

Cate Blanchett Wears Custom Armani Wardrobe in ‘Hanna’

She had the fashion world buzzing when she wore an elaborate Givenchy Haute Couture gown to the Academy Awards, and now, actress Cate Blanchett continues her style streak with a specially designed Giorgio Armani wardrobe in her new film, Hanna. In the thriller, Blanchett plays Marissa Wiegler, a woman on a mission to catch a 16-year-old assassin, so director Joe Wright wanted her to look like the “wicked witch” of the story, with red hair and green attire, according to Hanna costume designer Lucie Bates. To illustrate that persona, Armani hand selected silhouettes, which included sharply tailored suits and a striking green cashmere overcoat. “Working with Cate Blanchett, on and off the screen, has always been a highlight for me,” Armani said in a release. “She embodies the perfect combination of consummate actor and world-class fashion icon.” Armani was not only a perfect fit for his front row fan, but it’s hardly the first time the legendary designer has dressed actors on screen: he suited up Richard Gere in American Gigolo, helped Katie Holmes in The Kennedys and lent his fashionable hand to Ocean’s Thirteen and The Dark Knight. Sneak a Peek at Angelina Jolie’s Jewelry Collection

Angelina Jolie is perfectly accessorized on the red carpet, whether she’s wearing dainty earrings or statement-making gems. And now, the actress will always have something to pair with her pretty dresses thanks to her new jewelry line, Style of Jolie. The collection, which she designed over the course of the last nine months with jeweler Robert Procop, is currently on display by invitation only at Julien’s Gallery in Beverly Hills, but we have a sneak peek! In the clip above, Procop says the line is made of “artistic forms using gemstones as a centerpiece.” And there are already celebrity fans: Robert Downey Jr.’s wife, Susan, wore earrings from the collection at the Oscars in February. Though Jolie won’t be on hand to showcase her jewels, proceeds from the exhibition will benefit Children in Crisis, the charity of her choice. Check out some of Jolie’s gems in the clip above!

Jim Carrey Debuts a Mohawk: Love It or Hate It?

Jim Carrey MohawkFlynet (2)

He may be pushing 50, but Jim Carrey can rock a rebellious hairdo any day! The actor recently surfaced in Los Angeles sporting a sky-high mohawk, with shaved sides and all. It’s certainly a big change from his usual look, and a complete 180 from the long locks he sported several years ago. The normally chatty actor hasn’t said a word about his new look on Twitter … yet. Perhaps he’s testing the style out for a new role? Regardless, Carrey isn’t the first California guy to step out with a mohawk: Mark Salling works the look on Glee, Brody Jenner experimented with the hairstyle last year, and Kevin Federline shaved the sides of his head for a 2008 appearance on One Tree Hill. Even pint-sized stars have tried the trend: Kingston Rossdale and Maddox Jolie-Pitt are both known for their similar styles. Could the mohawk be making a comeback? Tell us: What do you think of Carrey’s mohawk?

Emma Watson: Fashion is My ‘Potter’ Antidote

Emma Watson Harry Potter Style Burberry Lancome People Tree

Emma Watson may be best known for her recurring role in the Harry Potter franchise, but please, don’t call her Hermione. “I’m aware that it’s hard for audiences to separate me from my character,” she admits in the summer issue of New Zealand’s Remix magazine. So to delineate the real Watson from her on-screen counterpart, the 20-year-old is expanding her body of work to include decidedly un-Hogwarts-like projects. “Hopefully by doing things like that people will see a different side of me,” she says of her fashion portfolio, which includes stumping for Burberry, Lâncome and designing for People Tree and Alberta Ferretti. This newfound style initiative, however, isn’t entirely a marketing maneuver. “I love fashion and clothes,” she says, evidence of which can be found in her funky street style. “It’s fun playing around with different sides of your personality.” And no matter how many ad campaigns she does, she is not impervious to insecurities. “It’s been pretty harrowing at times, especially as I am so intensely self-critical,” she admits. “That’s why I banned myself from reading everything about myself on the Internet.” Aha! So we can call you Hermione! To read more about Watson’s fashion metamorphosis, pick up the new issue of Remix, on stands in the U.S. now. –Justine Harman
