When Kate Hudson announced her engagement on Today this morning, she told Matt Lauer she’d kept the big news under wraps for a week because she was “waiting for someone to notice.” But with a ring like this, we’re surprised it took so long! Hudson flashed her sparkler during her segment — she was promoting her latest film, Something Borrowed — and proudly announced that rocker beau Matthew Bellamy had recently popped the question. “It was very sweet,” the actress said, without giving away details. “It was very romantic.” Later on in the day, Hudson and son Ryder strolled into New York City’s Greenwich Hotel, where fans wished her well. “[She] smiled when onlookers outside the hotel screamed and asked to see her engagement ring,” a witness tells PEOPLE. As well they should: the emerald-cut diamond, flanked by two sparkling baguettes, is definitely something to scream about. –Reporting by Mary S. Park

I know she grates on our nerves now…Cause although pretty, she is a Stage Five Clinger. She falls “so deeply in Love” after about 1 date and that’s all you hear about. Blah Blah Blah

I think it is time that you all stop giving publicity to these unwed mothers, we have babies out out there having babies, the morals in our society have gone to h… in a hand bag, just because your famous doesn’t make it right……shame on all of you……..Kate be happy but don’t flaunt your self……….what happened to privacy,

Nice to get engaged right before the baby is due!

Kate Hudson, the rest of these flashy so-called stars, the lame-stream media who grovel at their feet, are simply disqusting. Unmarried and pregnant, flashing the world their genitalia, shop lifting, drunken or drug induced driving or other dangerous excursions while under the influence and being propped up as interesting and cool by the media. You have sunk to sewer level. No wonder the majority of Americans are striking back with disinterest. Most intelligent people think Hollywood, and the media and ignorant and amoral.

How can they have privacy when they are literally followed everywhere? Even if it was not advertised…do you really think that will stop babies from having babies. I don’t think so! That comes from the parents….so if you are so worried about babies having babies then deal with the parents…it is not the celebrities fault.

Just My Opinion on

@Juli– You can’t steal a human from another personal, unless they are willing to go with you. What blame do you place on Eddie, if any?

I am glad to see people here mentioning morals. I agree that morals have gone to pot in recent years. Whatever happened to (1) dating THEN (2) engagement THEN (3) marriage THEN (4) babies. In THAT order!
