What’s round and cute and shiny all over? Jake Gyllenhaal‘s head! The actor, who usually flaunts quite a head of hair, was recently spotted on the Los Angeles set of his new film, End of Watch, with a totally shaved head. His rep tells PEOPLE that he did indeed lose his locks for the role, in which he and The Lincoln Lawyer‘s Michael Peña play devoted cops. This isn’t the first time Gyllenhaal has shaved his head for a film — he did the same for 2005′s Jarhead — but considering we saw him earlier this month with all of his hair (not to mention a full mustache and beard), it certainly was a quick change. We think the actor looks cute no matter what, but we want to know what you think. Tell us: Do you prefer Gyllenhaal with hair, or without?

I take offense to the title of this movie. End of Watch is a very sad thing in Law Enforcement. Jake whatever his last name is could never do what our LE Officers do everyday… he might brake a nail. And is the uniform that is making him look hot, not him. What is he 5’6″?

Jake is cute with or without hair but he’ll never have the acting career his godfather the late great Paul Newman did nor the short but prolific award winning directing career he won a New York City film Critics award for best director in 1968 for Rachel Rachel but wasn’t nominated for the oscar in the same Catagory which caused his wife whowas nominated for best actress to threaten to leave the motion picture academy in protest
