Angelina Jolie's Jewelry Line: "Chic and Contemporary"

Angelina Jolie's Style of Jolie JewelryCourtesy Robert Procop

You’ve seen the serious sparklers, but just what went into the creation of Angelina Jolie‘s new jewelry line, Style of Jolie? “She has been involved, every step of the way,” jeweler Robert Procop tells PEOPLE. “She wanted to create some beautiful art around jewels with the mission of helping children.” Jolie and Procop, who’s styled the actress in the past, started the project in August of 2010, creating storyboards, researching gems and metals and considering various designs. “Angelina has a very classic style. She is very chic and contemporary,” Procop explains. “[The collection] is what she enjoys wearing on the red carpet, but also what she enjoys wearing when she’s at home. It’s also what she enjoys giving as a gift.” In fact, at Christmas, Brad Pitt gifted Jolie with a bracelet similar to the the five-row white quartz tablet bracelet (above) after seeing her design. Another piece the actress particularly loves is the Angelina Jolie exceptional emerald necklace (above), containing 44 green gems totaling 103.48 carats. “It’s probably one of the finest collections of cushion emeralds ever assembled,” Procop says. “The stones are just so bright.” Though the line — which features pieces starting at $4,000 and benefits the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict — is only available to private clients at the moment, Procop hints that later this year, a more accessible retail version will hit the market. But for now, the jewels are hitting the road: after a short stint in Beverly Hills, they’ll move on to a gallery in Monaco for about two weeks. Seems they’re following in the footsteps of their jet-setting creator! Tell us: What do you think of Jolie’s jewelry line? Reporting by Kate Hallett

I LOVE that green necklace but, of course, it’s a little too pricey for my liking. Bummer!

eve on

Beautiful, love what I see, but definitely out of my league, I am jobless and practically homeless. It is for the rich and famous. Too bad!!!!!

Coco on

C’mon Angelina, I want that bracelet, make something a little more affordable.

lele on

love the stones, hope you will sell an affordable one. I’m waiting

Marie on

It reminds me of something a child would design

MT on

I would love to know where I can buy the necklace from.

Positive on

Beautiful but too rich for my pocketbook specially in this economy.

bored on

it looks like the design of the necklace brad puttz is always showing off in paparazzi and red carpet photos

Jenn on

I love it! I was hoping she would do an affordable line like most celebrities do. But she’s doing for a good cause, at least.

dWoo on

I’d buy them. Beautiful Classic Timeless pieces. Very Chic

Pita on

Outrageous! She uses gems to charity? Is the snobbest and less fortunate campaign I ever heard off.

Wendy on

I’m sure that it will be a beautiful line, and that the rich and famous (or infamous…can we say Lindsey) will look stunning in them. As for the rest of us middle class folks, $4,000. will go towards paying our mortgage or maintance on our older vehicles that we can’t afford to trade in.
Congrats Angelina.

Jacqueline on

They are beautiful and timeless like herself, Angelina Jolie! But, yes, they are quite pricey for me too! I hope the other hollywood people like the Kardashians will buy them to help out for a very good cause…

When I heard about the line I assumed it was going to be for regular people and was also slightly taken aback by the level of product she chose to create. We have to understand this woman lives her life to make huge sweeping and purposeful changes for the voiceless innocents of the world. This is a completely appropriate campaign to raise the level of money she is capable of procuring from her peers in Hollywood, Washington D.C. and around the world and enables her to do the work of angels here on Earth.

Valhalla on

If she places a knock off version of the pieces on a shopping network, she will raise scads of money for the charity in record time! Cheers!

kerren on

I would love to buy the neckless.

Rita on

I guess her line is only for the rich. I’m surprised because she always dresses like a very poor person.

Seems like some of you didn’t quite read the article. Jolie and mr. Robert have hinted that they will have more economical versions of these pieces later in the year. Jeeez!

Good job Ms. Jolie do what you must do to help the defenseless children of the world. I will be looking forward to a more economical piece that will allow me to help in whatever small way I can.

So far these pieces look like they can be found at Forever 21, Kohl’s or even Claire’s around the fall. I expected something more gothy chic or at least something more unique. I’m looking forward to seeing more of her collection.

duh on

Yesenia, Angelina tries not to be so goth since she’s dating America’s male versions of an American Sweetheart. she is very boring now.

D on

Really with such a bad economy a 4000$ necklace. May be she will adopt some of us poor people.

I really liked some of these pieces. I love certain gemstones and these are great designs, not overly done, not too gaudy. If ever she did design a line that stayed under the four figures range, I would definitely buy something from it at some point.

sckatt on

Hey I can go down to Hobby Lobby and get stuff to make a replica of these, will you pay me 4,000? How about even 40? The article seemed to leave out how much percentage of each purchase of these pricey pieces will go to charity. The bottom line is where it should be decided if she gets all the charity donating credit for it or not.

lilly on

I,too, would love to know the % that actually goes to charity. I’ll probably get chewed out,but I just don’t buy into her personna…there is a payback for everything she does.

lightenup on

Absolutely beautiful, classic and what I would expect from someone who actually has good taste!
(especially for Hollywood)
Would love it if an affordable collection could be presented on one of the home shopping networks so we could all help with her projects . She is of great value in many ways. Would so love to wear those terrific designs. So grateful for her compassionate work…Way to go Angelina. We should ALL step up in any way we can.

dijana on

Beautiful! elegant and sophisticated! I’d buy it if I had money! Love her style!

100 of the profits are going to a charity Angelina started called Educational Partnership for Children of Conflict. She markets the pieces to people with deep pockets unlike other celebrities who depend on sales of sweatshop products to their fan base to fuel their personal lavish lifestyles.

Christina Cox on

I don’t get it – she’s always running around helping people in different countries in Africa – where does she think all these special gems are mined in an way that exploits both the lands and the people and ravage the environment? Keep up the GREAT WORK!

Sunn on

i love to have one but it’s too costly for me.Nice ..it has symbolism….essence to have that piece

rlr8 on

The pieces are as beautiful as Angelina’s heart.
God bless her for all the humanitarian efforts
she constantly gives our world. Hopefully, I
can get one of the “more accessible” pieces. : )

It would be nice if it actually benefitted American children .

If you guys read the article, it clearly states that the current prices are for private buyers only and that a more affordable line for the public will be made available.

Z on

Shaking my head. Jolie, you’ve turned into such a boring old bag.

Sandals on

Classy and elegant! I hope Angelina sells lots of it to many private clients to support the “Education Partnership for Children of Conflict.” Both Angelina and Brad are tireless in their efforts to help others! They’re awesome!
