Is Selena Gomez Channeling Steven Tyler?

Are they birds of a feather? American Idol judge Steven Tyler and teen sensation Selena Gomez both showed off some avian-inspired hair accessories on Saturday night at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in Los Angeles. Tyler, no stranger to the trend, wove feathers into his wavy, shoulder-length rocker locks (a look he consistently sports on Idol), adding an earring for extra flair. Meanwhile, Gomez popped some similar slim, tinted feathers subtly down the sides of her hair — they weren’t even visible from the front. This isn’t the first time stars have experimented with feathers in their coifs: Tyler tried the trend again one day later at Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, and Hilary Duff debuted a similar look just a few months back, when she added some fluff to her then-brunette tresses. I think they BOTH work the feathers!! I’ve seen this hot trend on girls AND guys…that’s what is so cool. People of all ages are rockin feathers, from young kids to hip grannies. My salon carries a brand called “Fine Featherheads”; they have beautiful feathers with an amazing variety of colors to choose from. I got my feathers installed last fall and still have the same feathers just had them re-installed once they started to grow out. It’s an amazing accessory that I think adds just a bit of fun flare and class. :)

I think that these feathers look really cool in Selena’s hair! Steven’s too for that matter. What a fun way to add a splash of color!

I don’t get why people are so against hair feathers, it’s just a trend! And a fun one at that. Im not a big fan of the neon feathers as much as the natural colors, but still, to each his own.
