Selena Gomez Doesn’t Dig Justin Bieber’s Growing Facial Hair

For Justin Bieber, it was a Tweet of glory. “im not shaving for a month so you all can see my mustache.. im pumped,” he told followers on March 5. But to girlfriend Selena Gomez, it wasn’t the best news. During an appearance on the Morning Mash Up on SiriusXM Friday, Gomez told listeners that she didn’t encourage her beau’s facial hair fun — and she wasn’t afraid to tell him. “You’ve gotta commit,” she told listeners. “You can’t just be like, ‘All right, let me just do a little one.’” Though Gomez explained that she’s not totally against facial hair — “I like it,” she admitted, before adding that she hates “soul patches” — she’s not sure Bieber’s ‘stache will reach its full potential in four short weeks. “He … needs a little more time,” she laughed. Check Out Kelly Rutherford’s Edible Handbags!

These days, Kelly Rutherford is turning her attention to the sweeter things in life: cookies! The Gossip Girl star recently partnered with New York’s Eleni’s bakery to create tasty treats ($28.50 for a box of eight) in the shapes of her newly launched QVC handbags. According to bakery owner Eleni Gianopulos, cookie designers worked with Rutherford to create miniature versions of her purses, using edible silver and sweet sugar to “make them as glamorous as her line,” she told PEOPLE Tuesday night at the launch party. Rutherford, who frequents Eleni’s Upper East Side outpost (how Lily van der Woodsen of her) says a lot of the inspiration for her real handbags comes in part from her on-screen alter ego. “I think the crossover with Lily and myself is that we both like really classic pieces,” she said. “I wanted to make handbags that wouldn’t go in and out of style so fast.” Rutherford has even worn one of her creations — a black clutch — on screen, though she claims her style is much different than that of her character. “I always say that Lily just has a bigger budget,” she explained. “If I had her budget, I’d probably be wearing a lot of the same things. But I’m more casual because I have little kids. When I come home, I have to be able to throw things in the wash!” –Lindsey Gilbert

There’s another angel among us: actress Eva Mendes is the new face of Thierry Mugler’s fragrance for women, Angel. Previously working her sex appeal for Calvin Klein jeans and flaunting her toned physique for Reebok EasyTone, Mendes follows in the footsteps of the French brand’s most recent spokeswoman, Naomi Watts, who’d served as the face of the scent since 2008. “While Naomi Watts’ ethereal beauty embodied the angelic aspect of the fragrance, Thierry Mugler chose to reignite the enticing and explosive dimensions of the fragrance with the sultry Mendes,” the company said in a statement. “Though her obviously flawless physical beauty is in perfect harmony with the artist’s aesthetic canon — Ms. Mendes mesmerized Mugler with her independence, determination and humor.” According to WWD, the actress will appear in worldwide ads for the scent beginning in September. Sammi Sweetheart JewelryAJM/Abaca

Jersey Shore‘s Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola is the latest guidette to toss her, um, bikini into the fashion ring. Today, the MTV reality starlet launched her own collection of bling, Sammi Sweetheart, with costume jewelry brand RichRocks. The line, consisting of seven pieces focused on her “sweetheart” image, includes (you guessed it) heart-shaped pendants, crystal bracelets meant for layering, and of course, her staple accessory essential: large hoop earrings. But Giancola isn’t charging sky-high prices for her gems; instead, she’s taking pride in selling for less. “I love that the RichRocks brand and my collection retails for just under $100,” she tells PEOPLE. “It was very important for me to keep all of the pieces affordable for my fans so they can purchase more than one piece and add to the collection. I have created some great fun and flirty pieces to wear day into night.” Perhaps for an evening out at Karma? The Sammi Sweetheart for RichRocks collection launches today at richrocksnyc.com.
