Wearing screen-siren waves, Gaga is pictured surrounded by crystal-encrusted skulls and a martini glass with a goldfish swimming inside. She ends the clip by applying her eponymous nude-hued lipstick, of which 100% of profits go directly to fight AIDS. Michelle Obama’s 29-Year-Old Stylist Revealed!

Michelle Obama's Stylist Revealed

Michelle Obama is a staple of best-dressed lists, known for rocking everything from haute designers to H&M, but even the First Lady needs a helping hand shopping sometimes. ABC News reports that hairdresser Vera Chamberlin revealed to the Washington Post that her client Meredith Koop, a 29-year-old Vanderbilt University grad, has taken over the role of stylist to the First Lady from Chicago retailer Ikram Goldman. Koop, a former protegé of Goldman, was sent to the White House to help out with Obama’s fashion needs before taking over the role full time. A White House spokesperson identifies Koop as a “personal aide to the First Lady and a member of the White House Residence staff” with duties beyond the First Lady’s wardrobe. But as far as clothes are concerned, the White House said in an email to ABC News that Koop’s “responsibilities include advising the first lady on her wardrobe and acting on her behalf in arranging for purchases, including considering the best offered price, and buying on discount if discounts are available.” Sounds like a good gig to us!

His red carpet creations have stopped traffic on stars like Catherine Zeta Jones and Kate Winslet, and now Carmen Marc Valvo is bringing his A-list beauty and style tips to the masses with his new book Dressed to Perfection: The Art of Dressing for Your Red Carpet Moments. Two of his superstar clients, Vanessa Williams and Katie Couric, have pitched in to pen the foreword to the glossy tome dedicated to helping women find and celebrate their best features for their own mini “red carpet” moments. The designer, who has teamed up with colon cancer screening advocate Couric to talk about his own battle with the disease, said in a statement that every woman should live in the moment: “Although the occasion for dressing in evening attire does not occur as often as I would like, I don’t believe that this is any reason not to infuse a bit of glamour into everyday life.”

Burberry Snows on the Stars in London Fashion Show

Rachel Bilson and Kate Bosworth at Buberry Prorsum show in London
Rex USA

It was a wintery—albeit stylish—day at the Burberry Prorsum show during London Fashion Week, with stars including Rachel Bilson and Kate Bosworth popping in for the inclement-weather-themed runway show. “Everybody is asking me if it hurts to sit down with the studs, but it doesn’t at all, it’s just very heavy,” Kate Bosworth told WWD, referring to the Burberry pencil skirt virtually covered with spikes and studs she wore to the show. After a flurry of fashion models stormed down the runway in fur-trimmed coats and belted trenches, the show ended with a blizzard of fake snow covering the catwalk, while models paraded around wearing matching see-through plastic capes over their outfits. And for those who didn’t score a front-row seat like Bosworth and Bilson, many Brits still took in all the action; the show was screened live to the public in Piccadilly Circus in London (and on the web for those of us not in the U.K.). –Kim Peiffer
