24-Hour Trend Alert: Winter Whites

Hollywood’s fashionistas including Nicole Kidman, Hailee Steinfeld and Julianne Moore embraced the lighter end of the color spectrum this weekend. At the 26th Annual Santa Barbara Film Festival on Friday, award recipient Nicole Kidman wore a sophisticated belted Nina Ricci shirtdress, which she paired with strappy putty-colored Pierre Hardy heels and an Omega watch. At the same event, Oscar nominee, Hailee Steinfeld, opted for a feminine cap-sleeved Alberta Ferretti frock, punctuated by red Aldo pumps. The following night, in N.Y.C., Moore was red, black and white all over, juxtaposing fiery tendrils with a stark white smock by The Row and matte tights at an HRC event. We think this lightened look is divine, but we want to know what you think. Tell us: Are creamy dresses white hot or a major ‘do not’?Justine Harman

Adriana Lima Wants to Get Engaged Again for Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day is more than just a Hallmark occasion for Adriana Lima, whose anniversary with NBA star husband Marko Jaric is February 14. The new mom shared with PEOPLE recently just how she keeps the holiday special—and seriously sexy! Instead of grand gestures, the Victoria’s Secret Angel prefers to focus on the intimate details, confessing that the sexiest fragrance is, “the scent of skin” and that music by composer Michael Galasso gets her in a romantic mood. While good lingerie is paramount (she likes the Victoria’s Secret Love Balconet push up bra paired with a black lace thong), Lima is less interested in her outfit, explaining, “What’s worn on top is not important, since it won’t be on for long.” But regardless of racy rationalizations, the star is still a traditionalist. “I would love my husband to propose to marry me again,” she admits, “With a ring and everything.” And the age-old rivalry of flowers versus candy? Settled. “Both,” she says. “For me, flowers and candies should always go together.” We love a woman who knows what she wants. Three Dresses, One Day: Which of Katy Perry’s Purple Sparklers is Your Favorite?

Katy Perry 3 Looks 1 Day
Ramey (3)

Talk about “Fireworks”! Katy Perry created a purple reign while launching her new perfume in Mexico City. First, she attended Purr’s press conference in a lilac sequined one-shoulder Nikolaki mini with draping at the bodice. She then headed over to Perisur Mall, where she greeted more than ten thousand fans in another high-shine confetti look with sheer paneling at the waist and shoulder. The grand finale came when the 26-year-old performer graced the launch party’s purple carpet wearing a racy, plunging Georges Hobeika Couture jewel-tone frock with even more sparkle! It’s not the first time Katy Perry‘s had to play outfit mixmaster in one day. Last summer, she donned three unique dresses while promoting her new album in New York. Perry’s never short on daring when it comes to her wardrobe picks, but we want to know what you think. Tell us: Which of Katy’s three dresses was most Purr-fect? – Hana Choi

DEAL OF THE DAY: 15% Off of Three Sisters Jewelry

Discount on Personalized Jewelry

California designer Zoe Mohler named Three Sisters jewelry for her three daughters, as well as for her mother (one of three sisters herself) who died of cancer — and that sense of family and love is evident in every handcrafted piece. Her elegantly earthy designs have a well-loved, vintage-y feel, but the personalization ensures that the jewelry is as unique as the woman wearing it. We love the sleek horn bangles, understated custom silhouette lockets, and sweet shell jewelry boxes. Best of all, a percentage of profits go to fight cancer. Start stocking up on hand-stamped pieces like this necklace, $110 (originally $129) by clicking here.

EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK: Julianne Hough to Hit the Red Dress Runway in Custom Swarovski

What takes 150 hours to make, has 10,000 crystals, weighs two lbs. and will be worn by one of Hollywood’s bubbliest blondes? No, it’s not a riddle –- it’s the custom Swarovski red dress and heart-themed necklace that Julianne Hough will be modeling in Wednesday’s Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection Fashion Show. While Hough told PEOPLE at her recent fitting at the N.Y.C. Swarovski showroom that her necklace “feels light on”, she does admit to just the slightest bit of jitters at walking in the star-studded show (fellow models include Audrina Patridge and Giuliana Rancic). “This is my first time walking a catwalk in a runway show. I’m a little nervous but I think I can do it.” Hough jokes that it’s different than her years on Dancing with the Stars because “you have to walk. As long as I’m jumping around, moving my hips, I’m good, but walking in a straight line might be a little difficult.” At least she loves what she’s wearing on the catwalk, calling the shimmering Swarovski crystal necklace and matching satin gown designed by Swarovski Creative Director Nathalie Colin “pretty unbelievable.” But it was the cause behind Red Dress Heart Truth (hearth health for women) and the partnership with Swarovski that drew the Footloose star in. Besides, Hough laughs, “It makes sense. They’re really glitzy and glam-y, and so am I.” Shop for pieces from Swarovski’s Heart Truth collection, inspired by Julianne’s couture piece, on swarovski.com! –Melissa Liebling-Goldberg
