Was Lindsay Lohan’s Minidress Appropriate for Court?

Lindsay Lohan' Court OutfitFlynet

Lindsay Lohan might have pleaded not guilty to felony grand theft in court yesterday for lifting a pricy necklace, but looks like she may be guilty of an even more fashionable crime—her outfit. The actress created some buzz yesterday when she showed up for her court appearance in Los Angeles wearing a tight white minidress reminiscent of something one might wear for a night on the town, pairing the bare-legged look with patent pumps and superstar shades. Although Lindsay did choose a clothing color that is traditionally associated with innocence, the short, curve-hugging style may not have been the most professional-looking option for the occasion. It was truly a star-studded event at Wednesday’s night’s Heart Truth’s Red Dress Collection show to kick off Fashion Week at Lincoln Center. With a star-only roster of models in stunning scarlet dresses (below) by a pantheon of designers, the front row fans included Matthew McConaughey (supporting girlfriend Camila Alves in Kaufman Franco), Bill Rancic (cheering on wife Giuliana Rancic in Marchesa) and Susan Sarandon (applauding for daughter Eva Amurri in Chris Benz). Julianne Hough opened the upbeat show in her custom Swarovski crystal necklace and satin gown, even giving a perfect twirl mid-stage. Following waves and giggles from Audrina Patridge, in shimmering Badgley Mischka, and a perfectly-timed dropped strap of her Zac Posen gown by Dita von Teese, Alves hit the stage — and so did McConaughey (almost)! The beaming star lunged out of his front row seat, enthusiastically snapping photos of his gorgeous girlfriend, who walked the runway with the grace and seasoned strut of a true pro. The show ended with Natasha Bedingfield serenading the crowd in a slinky Nicole Miller gown on behalf of sponsor Diet Coke. She got the fashion crowd — and Rancic! — to wave their hands in the air before the models filed out to wild cheering and a standing ovation. – Melissa Liebling-Goldberg

Months after collaborating on accessories for their high-end collection, The Row, it looks like Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen are chasing after the same guy: the fashion-forward male! Helena Bonham Carter Predicts ‘Catastrophe’ for Her Oscars Look

Helena Bonham Carter on Her Golden Globes Dress and ShoesZuma

Helena Bonham Carter may have had her share of red carpet controversies, but you have to hand it to the Oscar-nominated actress for always having fun with fashion. After stepping out at last month’s Golden Globes in mismatched shoes, can we expect a similarly eclectic look for the Academy Awards? At this point, it’s anybody’s guess –- including her own! “I have no idea, really. It’s going to probably be a catastrophe,” the King’s Speech star told PEOPLE at the Academy Award Nominees Luncheon in L.A. earlier this week. “It’s right up to the last minute that it can go wrong at any time. I can be going for something quite [classy] and suddenly at the last minute go off piece. So we’ll see. It’s a mystery to me, actually.” For someone who enjoys fantasy and “putting unlikely things together,” we’re quite confident that whatever Bonham Carter ends up wearing will create some serious fashion buzz. One thing the English actress can predict for Hollywood’s glitziest night of the year? “I promise you, I’ll wear the same color shoes.” – Hana Choi ; reporting by Michelle Ward

Time to make your Hollywood fantasies come true! Imagine this: It’s Friday night and you’re gearing up for a girls’ night out with your BFFs. You pour a glass of your favorite Riesling, slip into Khloé Kardashian’s perfect Alexander Wang LBD that’s stashed in your closet and shimmy out the door. Sound fabulous? Thanks to Little Black Dress Wines, this could actually be your evening. The winemaker for women has once again partnered with Dress for Success and Clothes Off Our Back to bring you a celebrity auction with some seriously A-list donations. Since 2007, contributions from the likes of Tina Fey, Julianne Moore and Laura Linney have earned over $125,000 for those in need. And this year is no exception with Khloé, Lea Michele and Ali Fedotowsky emptying their closets for the cause, along with bottles of wine signed by hunky actors like Colin Firth and Jake Gyllenhaal. So to snag Lea Michele’s previously owned David Lerner LBD, much like the one she wore to the InStyle Golden Globe party last year, head to clothesoffourback.org by March 1. Jennifer Aniston, Brooklyn Decker and Nicole Kidman flaunted three very different — but equally sexy — looks at last night’s New York City premiere of Just Go With It. While Aniston chose a classic, strapless Dolce & Gabbana gown with a sheer skirt, Fred Leighton jewels and an oversized Burberry clutch, Decker showed off her enviable assets in a second-skin Dolce & Gabbana leopard sheath and plum Brian Atwood pumps. Oscar nominee Kidman, who recently said that she prefers “boy-girl looks,” oozed sexy but tough appeal in a leather L’Wren Scott suit and blush-colored blouse. Leather, leopard and transparent chiffon? Sounds like our kind of Tuesday night! Tell us: Whose sexy premiere look was your favorite?–Justine Harman
