Michelle Obama's Stylist Revealed

Michelle Obama is a staple of best-dressed lists, known for rocking everything from haute designers to H&M, but even the First Lady needs a helping hand shopping sometimes. ABC News reports that hairdresser Vera Chamberlin revealed to the Washington Post that her client Meredith Koop, a 29-year-old Vanderbilt University grad, has taken over the role of stylist to the First Lady from Chicago retailer Ikram Goldman. Koop, a former protegé of Goldman, was sent to the White House to help out with Obama’s fashion needs before taking over the role full time. A White House spokesperson identifies Koop as a “personal aide to the First Lady and a member of the White House Residence staff” with duties beyond the First Lady’s wardrobe. But as far as clothes are concerned, the White House said in an email to ABC News that Koop’s “responsibilities include advising the first lady on her wardrobe and acting on her behalf in arranging for purchases, including considering the best offered price, and buying on discount if discounts are available.” Sounds like a good gig to us!

Read what this complete racist has to say Can you imagine calling any other First Lady a thing? Why don’t you just scream “There’s a black man in the White House”? You should be completely ashamed of yourself, you are an ignorant, ignorant and bigotted creature.

Whats was that? You can’t put lipstick on a pig? That is NO Jackie”O” for sure. The size of its butt is HUGE and the was it wears a belt right under breasts is funny. This thing has NO STYLE and has a face of a monkey. So quit with the BS and saying that that thing is stylish when its more of a embarrassment to the USA.

People on here need to lay off Mrs. Obama. Half the people here will NEVER aspire to be/do half of what she and President Obama have/will do. While the nation is in debt, education is also a huge issue for the US. This forum seems to show some of the biggest representations of where the education system has failed its people. Get over yourselves and let the Obama’s try to undo the mess that G.W. Bush made, stylist or no.

I’m sorry, but the “inexpensive everyday” look she’s attempting to achieve in laughable when it turns out the cardigan sweaters she seems so fond of cost over $3,000 each. With her height and weight, she should be wearing dresses below the knee with straight skirts, as befitting a First lady. Her short skirts and cardigans are not professional looking at all. She is past the age of trying to look cute.

How pathetic has yahoo become. Nobody cares about this lumbering racist!

It’s amazing how people will nit-pick about little things instead of attacking a more important and stringent issue.

Every First Lady has had a stylist, this is nothing new, further more it should not surprise you.

If you don’t like her style, that’s fine, but make sure you don’t like her style because it is distasteful in your opinion, not because you dislike the Obama’s political stances, race, etc. It seems like a lot of people rant about the smaller issues to cover up the fact that they are upset about something much more serious and/or complicated.

I have never seen or heard such ridiculous and blatantly disrespectful comments directed towards any former President and First Lady in my life. Whether you agree or disagree with their platforms, ideas, or even something as trivial as the FIRST LADY’s decisions on attire, show some class and respect to the titles earned if nothing else. Remember, Bush is who you should really be upset with, not the President who inherited the issues left behind and doing his best to make lemonade out of lemons in spite of all the nay-sayers and road-blockers. I feel that whether anyone (mostly non-Democrats) wants to admit it or not, there are definitely racial undertones to most of the negative comments and thoughts being expressed on this site and most media outlets today as it relates to our President and FIRST LADY. It’s ok to have an opinion, it’s just sad that supplying a job for another fellow American wasn’t a topic of discussion for VP Bieden’s wife or Jackie O or Barbara Bush or Laura Bush, etc. It’s 2011–Stop with all the hatin’ people! Find something productive to do with your time besides submitting ignorant comments about the caring and classic beauty we have in FIRST LADY Obama. Perhaps, leading by example and teaching your kids how to live healthier lives and to stop bullying others because of their differences might be a good start. Those sound like good platforms to support instead of being an instigator of hate and negativity.

There will never be another class act like Jacqueline Kennedy. This woman can’t touch Kennedy’s style with a 10 foot stick.
