Jennifer Aniston has had a not-so-secret love affair with long layers for the past several years — until, that is, she abruptly chopped them off into a shoulder-length bob this week. But this recent hair change-up certainly wasn’t a first for the star, who’s rocked everything from extra-long and straight tresses in 2000 to that ubiquitous ’90s cut dubbed “The Rachel” in honor of her character on Friends. And while the star has since come out in the press calling that particular flippy style, “the ugliest haircut I’ve ever seen,” we can’t help but love each of her evolving looks in its own way. They must have spilled some chemical on her face when they colored her hair that WRONG blond color on her because her face looks totally swollen. Not a good thing… She is rally looking older instead of younger! Partying too much can do that to you too!

@Olivia–sure there are more important issues in the world but your not gonna read about them on a CELEBRITY web site!!! Go to CNN and lighten up–nobody said it was earth shattering news–just something about a celebrity on a celebrity site! Imagine that!!! LOL

Love the new cut, but I think the hair is lightened too much. What happened to the beautiful red hair she had back in the “friends” days? Loved that color. But she’s going to look good no matter the style or color!

she had a much shorter bob during a time in her Friends days. i liked that one better.

I think “her long hair” made her face look longer and older. She doesn’t have “a round face”, so this hairdo is much more flattering. I don’t know about the “the true color of her hair”, however, so it’s difficult to comment on the color. I’ve always thought “she was cute”, she has “a lot of personality which adds “to her cuteness.”

What plays a factor also is that she lost her tan. We haven’t seen her without a spray tan in years, so I thinks this adds to her looking washed out and older (it ages her some years together with the color and shortening it). Even with this color/style, if she brings back the warmer skin color it will make a big difference. I still like the way her hair was for years, but I agree this makes this length works better with her chin.

Someone said she looks her age….Who would want to look older if they naturally look younger for than their age? Jennifer Aniston is blessed and should savor and enjoy her youthful body. When I’m 41 – I don’t want to make myself look 41 if I don’t.

I think she should have kept the same color with the new cut…. and then went with this lighter closer to spring/summer.
