Well there’s nothing couture or revolutionary about them but the dresses are attractive and I’m sure people will buy them…the price isn’t that outrageous either.

J on

Couture? The dresses are for high school prom. Last I checked, most 17 year old girls didn’t have couture dresses for prom

she is so smart. This is really nice. I love the long blue dress. She should make wedding dresses next because her wedding dress was beautiful.

They are beautiful I would buy one if I was in a wedding party or had somewhere really nice to wear it. People can say what they will about her but I have always liked her and I do like her clothes and purses and shoes and perfume so she is actually a very smart person, near 1 billion dollar business!!! you have to be smart to build an empire

Love the Black Dress!

tw — Your school was is no way the norm. These dresses would be more than acceptable to wear at the vast majority of high school proms.

these styles wouldn’t be allowed at most schools? …of course they would. there is nothing inappropriate about them. that being said, have you seen some of those goofy chain emails w/ the kids in some state going to prom? mid-riffs cut out, see through, bra tops, etc? i am not a fan of baring it all, but if those crazy styles are allowed in some places, these 3 harmless dresses would definitely fly.

they’re nice. i like the blue and the black ones the best. the yellow is just ok, but that’s my personal taste. i’m sure it’d be really cute on someone, especially in the warmer climates, where short lenght dresses are popular. here in boston, we always did long dresses/gowns.

Allyson on

where does it say they are couture? did i miss that?
tw…did u go to school out of the USA or something? these are very appropriate no matter what year you went to school! my mom wore one almost exactly like the black one to her prom back in the day.
kudos to jess on designing pretty dresses!

I like The PHOTOS and Jessica Simpson’s Prom-Dress Designs! Also, congrats to Kelsey Grammer’s Daughter, Spencer Grammer, on getting married!

tw, not sure when the last time you went to a prom was, but you sound old school. Things are different these days.

Jessica Simpson Wants You To Be Pretty (Not Necessarily In Pink) For The Prom | Music Reviews on

[…] Jessica Simpson never went to the prom. But she wants you, or at least your younger cousin, to look gorgeous at yours. So in addition to her line of shoes, bags, jeans, etc—apparently, her apparel fiefdom is valued at almost $1 billion a year—Jessica is now creating prom dresses for David’s Bridal. As the press release reads, “Inspired by the fabulous designer gowns I’ve worn to red carpet events, my affordable collection is designed to fit and flatter a variety of body types and help girls achieve their own red carpet style for prom.” The dresses cost between $139 and $229, and honestly, look pretty nice. I am thoroughly obsessed with the space age tie dye of the one on the left and am considering purchasing it. Even though I’d be wearing it to my 15-year reunion rather than to an actual prom. Jessica Simpson does not design. She just sells her name. If you people think that she designed these prom dresses, than you all are as dumb as Jessica Simpson. She just gets a percentage, thats all. The company she sold her name to designs the dresses, not her. She has not talent. She just sells ner name
