Spotted: Stars’ Cozy Sundance Accessories

Celeb Sundance Fashion
FilmMagic (2); Retna; FilmMagic

It may be frigid in Salt Lake City, but the stars in town for the Sundance Film Festival have figured out that the best way to punctuate the snowy landscape is with eye-catching accessories! A-listers including Demi Moore, Liv Tyler, Elizabeth Olsen and Kate Bosworth don’t sacrifice style for warmth by accenting winter wear with a variety of seasonal accoutrement. Ashton’s gal chose industrial lace-up booties to trudge through the snow while Tyler, in town on behalf of her dramatic film The Edge, stayed toasty in a fuzzy hat with ear flaps. Newcomer, and little sister to Mary-Kate and Ashley, Olsen kept the freeze out with a cozy wraparound scarf and burgundy beret, which she paired with on-trend leather leggings. And Bosworth, who has two films at the festival, avoided hat hair with cute buffalo check earmuffs. With adorable extras like these, we say: Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Tell us: How are you staying warm this winter?Justine Harman

Hollywood Royalty Zoe Kravitz on Being a ‘Preppy Princess’

Zoe Kravitz Vera Wang Preppy PrincessCourtesy Coty

As the daughter of rock legend Lenny Kravitz and Cosby Show fashion icon Lisa Bonet, it’s not surprising that Zoe Kravitz has crafted a unique style that’s all her own. “My whole thing about fashion is not to take it too seriously,” she tells PEOPLE. “I like to wear vintage clothes and things that kind of look tattered and have a story to them. The whole idea of clothes is that they tell a story.” The self-professed flea market shopper is, however, just as familiar with classic preppy style, having spent some time going to school on New York City’s tony Upper East Side. And that blend of downtown hip and uptown elegance serves her well in her role as the face of Vera Wang’s new scent Preppy Princess (top row, second from left in photo), a woodsy and fruity follow-up to the original Vera Wang Princess scent, which she also modeled for in 2009. “My whole thing about perfume, [is that] it’s usually too much,” she admits, “But this is subtle so I can actually wear it and not feel like I’m stinking up the room.” To learn more about the new scent, which starts at $45 for a 1 oz. scent check out VeraWangPrincess.com. – Hana Choi

Helena Bonham Carter: Why I Break All the Fashion Rules

Helena Bonham Carter on Her Golden Globes Dress and Shoes

The King’s Speech star — and Oscar nominee for Best Supporting Actress — Helena Bonham Carter is the first to admit she’s made a few fashion mistakes on the red carpet but that’s not stopping her from dressing up in non-traditional styles. “Sometimes I get it right and I sometimes I get it wrong,” Bonham Carter, 44, tells PEOPLE. “But fashion is all about having fun. I think fashion has been hijacked by the fashion industry creating rules on what one should wear and I feel like breaking the mold and seeing that the world won’t crumble.” Known for her eclectic fashion choices, Bonham Carter raised a few eyebrows by attending the Golden Globe Awards wearing one red and one green shoe simply because she wanted to. “Why not wear mismatching shoes? Who says we can’t? I was just having fun,” says Bonham Carter. “For me, fashion is all about fantasy and putting unlikely things together. That’s what I love. I genuinely love dressing up.” One person Bonham Carter praises is Lady Gaga for her daring fashion choices. “I love the way she dresses. She’s like a work of art,” she says. “Anybody who is inventive, different or has fun like her, I love and admire. I’m amazed that she’s able to stand up in some of those shoes she wears.” When asked what it’s like to be compared to the “Bad Romance” singer, Bonham Carter demurs, saying “I feel honored to be compared to her but I would probably be called Lady Haha. She’s fantastic.” So what can we expect on the red carpet at the Kodak Theatre come Feb. 27? “Maybe I will wear the exact same [Vivienne Westwood] dress I wore at the Golden Globes but with matching shoes,” she says with a big laugh. “Or put the shoes on my head!” – Paul Chi

Hollywood’s Newest Fashion Fetish: Carven

Hollywood's New Fashion Favorite: Carven
Ramey; NBC; BEImages

It seems there is a new designer du jour in Tinseltown: Parisian brand, Carven. Although the design house is over 65 years old, Hollywood’s youngest and brightest stars including Kim Kardashian, Emma Watson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Leighton Meester and Demi Moore are flocking to the collection for its playful silhouettes and unique details. Last September, Kardashian indulged in some high-end retail therapy, touring France in a voluminous Carven frock with a peekaboo back. Two months later, Emma Watson rocked a coquettish putty-colored shift dress accented with a classic schoolgirl collar. Flash forward to the L.A. premiere of No Strings Attached where Demi Moore dazzled in the brand’s double-zip design with sculpted shoulders. Carven describes its aesthetic as “student-boho chic” with “a distinct taste for contrast,” but we only have two words: “C’est l’amour!” Snag some Carven pieces for yourself at net-a-porter.com, with prices starting at $320. –Justine Harman
