Rihanna or Diane Kruger: Who Wore Her Panther Swimsuit Better?

Rihanna and Diane KrugerMavrix; Machette/INF

When it comes to baring your bod in a bathing suit, attracting minimal attention is usually the main goal. Unless, that is, you’re a stylish A-lister like Rihanna or Diane Kruger. Over the holidays, RiRi experimented with her feline side (and may have scored some cat calls) while home in Barbados. But she wasn’t the only one on the prowl for the cat swimsuit trend. Diane Kruger sported the same We Are Handsome panther-themed bathing suit while walking on the beach in Mexico with boyfriend Joshua Jackson (not pictured) on Jan. 10. And while we give both ladies props for drawing some playful attention to themselves on the beach, we can’t decide which of these two glamorous stars wore the trend better. Tell us: Who do you think looks better in their panther bathing suit? Vote below!Kim Peiffer

Kate Middleton Recycles From Her Own Chic Closet

Kate Middleton Recycles From Her Own Chic Closet
Flynet

Whether it’s for her own official engagement pictures or just another social event in her busy schedule, Kate Middleton doesn’t have to look far when it comes to finding the perfect outfit–she simply recycles something from her oh-so-chic closet, adds some new accessories and voila…a new princess-to-be look is born. It’s a very royal trend (Princess Diana was known to mix and match old and new pieces and Princess Anne is quite famous for her frugal approach to fashion), so it’s entirely fitting that Middleton, who will marry into the British royal family in just a few months, should adopt the recession-friendly trend herself. And we have to say, the 29-year-old does it very well. Accompanying her fiancé, Prince William, to a friend’s wedding in the UK on Saturday, she recycled one of her much-loved ISSA black dresses (from the label’s Spring/Summer 2007 collection no less), which she had previously worn to Prince William’s cousin, Peter Phillips’ wedding in 2008. Worn underneath a current season velvet dress coat from independent London label Libélula, the outfit was topped off with a structural feathered beret and a glowing smile. A smart choice, in more ways than one. –Monique Jessen

Pete Wentz’s Curly Hair: Love it or Hate it?

Pete Wentz Rocks Curly HairScott Olson/Getty

It looks like Pete Wentz is kicking off 2011 with a wild new look. The usually coiffed singer stepped out on Monday rocking his natural curls during a press preview of the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. He once told PEOPLE that doing his hair is no piece of cake, so it’s no surprise he needed a little break from the constant styling. “Here’s the thing about hair; I think most people think that I have Lego hair, like I can just take it on and off in one piece, and that’s not quite the case — although pretty close,” he said, adding “I refer to this [phenomenon] as Lego hair, when people think that about me.” Perhaps Pete’s change was inspired by wife Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, who recently debuted a new do as well. And while we think his natural and slightly frizzy style is a nice departure from Pete’s usual perfectly-placed locks, we want to know what you think. Tell us: Do you love Pete’s natural curls or prefer his hair straight? –Kim Peiffer

Talk about a fairytale ending! DeAnna Pappas, who was rejected by current Bachelor Brad Womack in season 4, then loved and lost on The Bachelorette, has found happiness in fiancé Stephen Stagliano—and her very own fit-for-a-princess wedding gown. On Saturday, at The Bachelor Red Cross blood drive in Beverly Hills, Pappas talked to PEOPLE about her Disney-inspired Alfred Angelo dress. The Disney Fairy Tale Weddings collection, which ranges from $599-$1,199 and is available in stores now, is inspired by seven iconic Disney Princess characters: Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Snow White and Tiana. “I did cry when I put it on,” she admitted. And though she “can’t tell you which one I am,” her fiancé has a guess, speculating, “I bet you’re Belle.” To check out all of the royal designs, visit alfredangelo.com. While we think she will look like modern day royalty in any of the designs, we don’t know which is our favorite — so we leave it in your hands! ‘Visionary’ Lady Gaga Unveils Her Polaroid Collection

Lady Gaga Unveils New Polaroid Collection

Lady Gaga is taking “Paparazzi” to the next level, unveiling her long-awaited Grey Label line of photo products for Polaroid at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas Jan. 6. After being named the brand’s creative director at last year’s showcase, the pop icon spent much of 2010 developing some high-tech digital functions for Polaroid’s instant photography. Dressed in a plunging, corseted black suit and fingertip-length veil, Gaga helped model her Grey Label products, including LCD-screen sunglasses that instantly display images taken with their built-in camera! “I consider myself to be a visionary, not just a songwriter and singer. I am an artist,” the star, who is no stranger to statement-making sunglasses, said of the new line in a release. Her favorite item? “I’m most excited about the printer,” she gushed of the GL10 instant mobile printer, which syncs wirelessly with mobile phones to allow users to print off their cell snapshots. “Your images will no longer die a death on your cell phone or digital camera.” The printer will hit stores in May 2011 and retail for $150, while the other Grey Label products will be released later in the year. –Alex Apatoff

Sherri Shepherd Shows Off Her Engagement Ring on ‘The View’

Sherri Shepherd Shows Off Her Engagement Ring on The View Donna Svennevik/ABC

The View returned Monday for its first live show of 2011 with something very special to celebrate — co-host Sherri Shepherd’s engagement, and the big diamond ring that went with it! With a large grin, Shepherd, 43, flashed the custom-made 2-carat sparkler to the cheering audience, as her fellow co-hosts offered their congratulations. She then explained how L.A.-based TV writer Lamar Sally, whom she met through friend Niecy Nash, had endeared himself to her — and to her 5-year-old son Jeffrey. “For Christmas, he had a present for Jeffrey — it was a game,” she said. “And he said to Jeffrey, ‘Can I marry your mom?’ And Jeffrey’s like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah, I want to play with my game!’ And he got on one knee, and he said, ‘Mrs. Shepherd, would you be my wife?’ And I said ‘yeah!’” It was on one of Sally’s recent visits to New York that Shepherd realized the depth of his connection to her son. “Jeffrey goes, ‘Mommy, I want Sal to take me to church, not you. Only Sal,’” Shepherd recalls. “And they walked hand in hand down the block to church. And I just said, you know, this man not only loves me, but he adores my son. And my son adores him.” She also joked that Sally had difficulty getting back up after proposing on one knee. “It was hard,” she said. “My baby, he’s 6 feet 6 inches, 250-plus pounds. I mean, I got him from Detroit.” –Tim Nudd
