Kellie Pickler’s Wedding Gown: All the Exclusive Details

Bridezilla she wasn’t. When Kellie Pickler tapped Badgley Mischka for her wedding gown, she gave them total design freedom, she says. “I really didn’t ask for anything at all,” she tells PEOPLE. “They just took such great care of me and did it all. I just stood there and instantly fell in love with it.” The feeling was mutual, say designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka, who told PEOPLE they’ve been fans of Pickler’s since American Idol. “She has such a pure, kind spirit and we were thrilled when she asked us to design her wedding gown,” they said in a statement. “The classic ballgown silhouette is perfect for her amazing figure.” Pickler’s favorite detail on the ivory duchess satin strapless gown, which featured crystal beaded accents on the train? The tulle ballgown skirt, which could be removed to reveal a mini dress beneath. “I took the skirt off as soon as the ceremony was over and wore the short dress for the rest of the evening,” she says.
