Spanx, watch your back. Not only has Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin become a successful author and created a bedding line that’s “doing great” at BedBathandBeyond.com, but now the fiery redhead has a new business endeavor that’s set to be huge — in the skinniest way possible! “I have my line Skweez,” a curvy Zarin told PEOPLE at Tuesday night’s N.Y.C. premiere of Season of the Witch, starring Nicolas Cage. “I worked on a body shaper line which every young girl is going to want to wear,” she added. “I made them for young girls and for older women. It’s an alternative to Spanx, and I’m selling them for a lot less money. I started my own company called Skweez Couture and Skweezwear and we’ll have men’s shapewear, too.” Why shapewear? “Right now there is really only one game in town,” answered the ever-savvy Zarin. “I’m hoping to take some of their market share. We already went to major department stores. It’s going to be everywhere.”

Husband Bobby Zarin, at her side, concurred with his wife’s business plan. “She found something missing in that market,” he told PEOPLE. “I was sitting in on some of the meetings. And women are looking for the unique features in her new shapewear. There is a lot of interest.” Will Zarin’s fellow Housewives wear Skweez? “I will be sending all my sister Housewives on my show samples,” answered Mrs. Zarin. “Most of them have tried it already. And everybody who has tried it, loved it: Kelly, LuAnn, Cindy [Barshop]. It works.” And could Zarin notice a difference in her castmates’ curves? “Well, they’re so freakin’ skinny,” said Zarin. “But they really fell in love with this…And the biggest compliment was that off camera, LuAnn wore some, because she loved them. They were knee highs that are lace with rubber at the top to hold them up. They don’t squeeze you, but they’re really sexy. It’s part of the line.” And is she wearing her own creation? “Yup!” Tell us: Do you want to try Jill’s new shapewear line? –Jeffrey Slonim

Ryan on

Why in the world would you make shapewear for young girls?!?! That is really sad.

BitterKitten on

JillZarin makes me pee-uke.

Boom on

WHAT is she wearing in that picture????? She looks HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! Hair sucks. Dress sucks. Tights suck. Boots/Shoes suck. Smile sucks. Hair REALLY SUCKS!

Alex G on

Gosh, she really looks puke in that picture. Looks like a cross between a fat zebra and an overheated woman on heat.

mommyofthree on

trying too hard to like young at age 48or more

I lost respect for Jill Zarin while watching the last season of RHoNYC. So I will not be buying anything that she endorses, fabricates, or writes.

patid on

i agree with RYAN … youth today are already suffering with their body image.

Jill Zarin is glutting the market with more shapewear. Her daughter is rather plump, so perhaps the line was conceived with her in mind. Jill Zarin is a capitalist PIG and I wouldn’t buy anything that she sells. She is uber obnoxious and dislikeable. FEH!!

Kactus-Kat on

Forget it, Jill – it’s time someone makes undergarments for PLUS sized women, not those trying to “skweez” their behinds into a Size 2!

You are hitting the right market with the right age group, tho, the BABYBOOMERS! We’re almost all over 50 now, and are ready to hold our sagging bodies still for an evening out. But, errrr…butt, you must make these also available to 3X plus, too!

Celie B on

I think she should just stick with drapes and window treatments.

deelish on

Who cares???!!!! She’s a common princess. Nothing special about her or the line. Imitator at best.

Lynne on

No, I would never buy anything that she created or endorsed. I believe her daughter, who is quite overweight might wear these garments, but really it would be healthier for her and other teens to actually lose a bit of weight and wear normal undergarments. Weight loss may actually help Ally’s arthritis.

Agree with most all the comments above and thank goodness at that. I would never buy anything this woman makes – she has no class or taste. Pathetic she would market young girls when they have enough issues and yes perhaps it’s out of need for her own daughter but I agree that her daughter should see a nutritionist and work out and then be the best she can be.

Even the product name is tacky.

Niki on

Wow, fake people making products for others to look fake. Big shocker.

NYC on

I will not buy nor support any of this woman’s (Jill’s) products. I find her to be a self absorbed, fake, selfish being.

sarah freshour on

I think Jill looks Fabulous !!

Sorry on

I will not give her/her company any of my money. She would have been better off not publicizing/aligning herself with this new product if it is that great. Self promotion is always loathed.

HER show? No.

Shape wear for young girls? That doesn’t seem right. Way to build positive body image for young girls.

I dont know what shes thinking about “one in the game”

Theres Spanx, Yummie Tummie, Donna Karen and Cynthia Rowely which just suck you in. Shatobu and Squeem which burns calories. And my ultimate favorite, Skineez Skincarewear that moisturizes, tones and rejuvenates the skin. Sooo I really don’t see Zarin’s company making quite an impact.

I can’t believe Jill is doing a line that will make younger girls who may not have perfect bodies will now think they have to sqeeze into clothes to try and make themselves look thinner. That is no message for these kids. The adult line is ridiculous, if you want to look thinner GO ON A DIET, I don’t know why these women on this show or any other older women. want to wear clothes that this 48 year old (wish I was 20) would. JILL IS MONEY HUNGREY AND NOT A SMART WOMAN ANYWAY.

Blanche on

I agree with Stefanie. [I don't know what shes thinking about "one in the game”]. Has Jill done her market research at all? There are plenty of high-end brands that compete with Spanx like TC Intimates which already has cutting edge technology using silicone and flat seam technology that are sold in high-end department stores. At lower price points there are brands like Naomi & Nicole that have the best way to stop wedgies and it’s already patented.

i think you are amazing Jill and I would love to see them in Canada! I run two small home businesses so I know how much work goes into starting up and running successfully – YOU GO GIRL! Don’t listen to all the hate speech, you are amazing and lovely. I have seen season 1 and 2 of Real HW of NYC and you and Bethenny are my favourites!

I love that you are so creative and you always look beautiful as well. You are a passionate redhead, with a knack for a great business and you are a good judge of character, and an excellent mum to your daughter Allison.

Looking forward to seeing your line of Skeewzwear in our stores up north!

Alexa on

I’m very excited about this new shapewear by Jill Zarin. She is a great businesswoman and I’m sure hers will be better than anyone else’s out on the market. But when do they come out?

Kathy on

I hate that she made a young girls market. I would rather adults teach young girls about living a healthy lifestyle through exercise and diet, and then embrace what genetic composition their bodies shape into. Hiding behind anything promotes eating disorders and depression..
I think its fine for older and/or full figured women who are adults and choose to buy what they are comfortable wearing, but as a society we should promote healthy living, and not squeezing into under garments..
