EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK: Julianne Moore’s “Sensual” Ads for Talbots

Julianne Moore is no stranger to sexy ad campaigns — but this time, she’s fully clothed in an outfit from Talbots’ Spring 2011 line. Talbots’ chief creative officer Michael Smaldone says she was picked for the spring campaign because she “exemplifies everything we want as the face of the brand. She’s a very active, beautiful, soulful woman.” The ads, shot in a greenhouse by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, reflect Moore’s relationship to the 60-year-old brand: “We have this lush, traditional setting, and Julianne is in the middle of it. She’s strong, confident, and very modern. And it’s very ethereal and sensual.” Moore’s classic but playful style, Smaldone says, is also a great fit for what he calls Talbots’ “tradition transformed” platform. “We want to hold on to the classic pieces, but make them relevant to a woman today,” he says. “We’re not trendy, but our clothes are current and modern.” And Moore seems to agree, walking out of the shoot with one of the outfits from the campaign. Dishes Smaldone, “She said, ‘If this is the new Talbots, count me in!’” Check out the behind-the-scenes video, then tell us: What do you think of Julianne’s new ads?Alex Apatoff

Gisele, Ashton and Alessandra Hit the Colcci Runway in Brazil

Gisele Bundchen, Ashton Kutcher and Alessandra Ambrosio Hit the Colcci Runway in Brazil

As if Sao Paulo isn’t sizzling enough, some of the world’s hottest models and one very hunky Hollywood actor turned up the heat during Fashion Week in the Brazilian capital. Gisele Bündchen, the face of Colcci, opened the brand’s show to cheers and screams in a sexy bustier and hot pants. Bundchen tells PEOPLE exclusively, “I have walked in the Colcci show six years in a row. I have grown with the brand that started out in jeans and is now a top selling fashion brand throughout Brazil. The show is always fun and I look forward to doing it each year.” And while Victoria’s Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosio took to the runway in a variety of sexy styles, it was Colcci’s newest face, Ashton Kutcher, who closed out the show, turning up on the runway for a final walk with Bündchen and brand director Jeziel Moraes. And in case Ashton got cold feet strutting his stuff after a hiatus from modeling, he had plenty of support in the front row from his biggest fan — wife Demi Moore, who brought her youngest daughter Tallulah along. The party continued after the show as the couple dined with Gisele and made an appearance at an exclusive party at the Kiss N’ Fly club, where they danced to electronic music. “I’m just a normal guy. I try to know how things work in the countries I go to so I can be as natural as possible,” Ashton told the Folha de São Paulo newspaper. — reporting by Dom Phillips and Charlotte Triggs

High fashion, meet mass market! London-based designer Kinder Aggugini, who has designed for top houses like Versace and Calvin Klein, is kicking off Macy’s new rotating capsule collections, pairing top designers with the department store to create high-end but affordable limited edition lines. “The fabrics are real, and there’s a high quality of workmanship,” Aggugini told PEOPLE of his collection at the January 26 launch party in N.Y.C. “Normally you wouldn’t see that [detail] in a line like this, but they were like, ‘Let’s do it up!’” The designer says he was inspired by the way young women in London alter their mom’s vintage clothing, or wear it with tough, modern pieces — and he guarantees that every girl will fall in love with something in the line. “The collection is so diverse that it will appeal to a great range of girls, and every girl will like one piece for sure,” he says. The line will hit Macy’s stores and macys.com Feb. 15. -Alex Apatoff

Sofia Vergara Causes a Situation with Her Plunging Dress at the SAG Awards

Everyone loved Sofia Vergara’s plunging Roberto Cavalli dress at the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night–everyone, perhaps, except Vergara herself. ”A little too much situation here,” the Modern Family actress and SAG nominee joked to PEOPLE about her low-cut neckline. Her costars begged to differ, however. Julie Bowen told PEOPLE, “What could anyone say to Sofia except she looks phenomenal? Always, always, always!” Vergara, 38, usually wouldn’t disagree. At Elle‘s Women in Television event in West Hollywood last Thursday, she admitted to liking being “a little plump.” Vergara says, “Because I’m Latin, I’m expected to be voluptuous, so I don’t have be a certain weight that is really skinny because it is expected of me. I think they want me with a little bit of meat.” While accepting an award from Elle, Vergara commented on her figure, jesting that her boobs “only belong in a strip bar or somewhere indecent. So, being in Elle is one of the greatest achievements of my life.” But embracing her curves doesn’t mean she eats anything she wants. “I believe in everything in moderation,” she says. “I try to eat healthy during the week, but during the weekend I would eat the things that I like: my desserts, my pizza, my pasta.” Most important to aging gracefully, Vergara says, is “taking time to enjoy.” She adds: “If you like to eat, eat!” –Patrick Gomez

Talk about not being afraid to switch it up on the red carpet! January Jones was the talk of the Golden Globes earlier this month, daring to bare in a scarlet cutout fringe gown from Atelier Versace. We love that January is not only willing to try such different looks, but that she pulls them all off — from head to toe! Tell us: Which look do you like better on January Jones?
