It looks like Hollywood stylistas are suiting themselves–literally! Yesterday we asked if you would wear a suit and tie like Leighton Meester did to the Gotham Independent Film Awards. And while our respondents were split down the middle on the trend, A-listers like Winona Ryder, Jessica Alba and Halle Berry, are clearly giving the look a sartorial thumbs up. Ryder, who has dabbled in menswear before, upped the ante last night, arriving at the N.Y.C. premiere of Black Swan in a tuxedo jacket, black oxford, slacks and a blinged-out lariat necklace, while Alba ditched the feminine frocks in favor of a fitted Dolce & Gabbana blazer, and slouch trousers for Footwear News’ 24th annual Achievement Awards. Rounding out Tuesday night’s trifecta was Halle Berry, who selected a jacquard black and gold ’70s-inspired look with a plunging sparkly blouse—all by Balmain. We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again, menswear is definitely a fall wardrobe staple, but we usually reserve the full-on look for interviews. When Tom Ford made his official return to womenswear during New York Fashion Week this fall, only a select group of industry insiders were granted access to the lavish and ultra-exclusive runway show. The refined affair was so private that only one photographer was present and no photos were released, until now! Nearly three months later, Harper’s Bazaar U.K. has revealed the images in its January 2011 issue. And as if the perfectly appointed surroundings, extraordinary threads (sequins, feathers, fishnets!) weren’t enough, Ford cast Hollywood heavyweights including Beyoncé, Julianne Moore and Lauren Hutton as models in the show. Lending his handsome face to the first-ever UGG men’s campaign, the NFL superstar will front ads for the brand’s fall 2011 collection of super-comfy boots, outerwear and accessories. “I have worn and loved the UGG brand for a long time,” Gisele Bündchen‘s man said in a statement. “This collaboration gives me an opportunity to work with a leading global brand with a great history and a true vision for the future of its men’s collection. The Secrets of a Jewish Mother author has partnered with Triad Hosiery for the 25-piece line, which has already been checked out by major retailers like Macy’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor and Bloomingdale’s, reports WWD.
