Lady Gaga Goes Viva Glam for MAC, Again!

Lady Gaga will once again be lending her famous face to M.A.C’s Viva Glam campaign, signing on with the cosmetics brand for the second year in a row. The pop darling, who previously joined forces with Cyndi Lauper to appear in Viva Glam’s 2010 campaign, will go at it alone in the new 2011 ads shot by Nick Knight and styled by Thierry Mugler creative director and Gaga stylist Nicola Formichetti. And while Gaga and Cyndi Lauper were double the fun in this year’s campaign, which was said to be the most successful ever for the M.A.C AIDS Fund, we’re sure the pop icon’s solo turn will provide plenty of incentive for this ever-important cause. When we learned back in June that Natalie Portman was to become the newest face of Parfums Christian Dior, we couldn’t wait to find out which of the luxury brand’s iconic fragrances she’d represent. And now, after months of speculation, we’ve learned that the classic beauty, who’s been busy promoting Black Swan and No Strings Attached, will front the Miss Dior Cherie campaign. The print ads, photographed by Tim Walker, are set to debut next March, according to WWD. The announcement comes just one day after the reopening celebration of Dior’s 57th Street boutique in N.Y.C., where the chic star was on hand to celebrate alongside Dior head designer John Galliano. Since joining the cast of Gossip Girl as Juliet Sharp, Katie Cassidy has quickly developed a queen bee’s discerning eye. “I’m learning about fashion and I find myself knowing more about what I should wear,” she tells PEOPLE. “The whole show is very chic and the clothes are unbelievably beautiful. There’s more than enough Lady Gaga to go around: Madame Tussauds has unveiled not one–but eight!–wax figures of the always over-the-top diva in her signature statement styles. Gaga’s figures are going global and will be displayed in New York, Las Vegas, London, Hollywood, Amsterdam, Berlin, Hong Kong and Shanghai, reports the UK’s Daily Mail. The museum spent $2.4 million–about $300,000 each–getting her looks just right. Her wax replicas are dressed straight from her iconic wardrobe, ranging from the Philip Treacy-designed ‘Telephone’ hat that she wore on UK talk show Friday Night with Jonathan Ross to the nude body stocking and towering purple hair piece she rocked in July 2009. Gaga joins the ranks of other fashionistas like Heidi Klum and Eva Longoria, who have all been immortalized in wax by Madame Tussauds.
