Natalie Portman may be dazzling audiences with her performance as a haunted and driven ballerina in Black Swan — already racking up Golden Globe and SAG nominations — but she’s also a fashion favorite, fronting the Miss Dior Cherie fragrance and wowing on the red carpet. No wonder she counts insiders like Rodarte’s Laura and Kate Mulleavy and Stila founder Jeanine Lobell among her closest friends. “Kate and Laura Mulleavy have schedules that are similar to mine, so we can go for a hike at noon, or to the museum in the middle of the day,” Portman explains to Vogue. The designers were even inspired by a Degas ballerina statuette for their much buzzed-about tutus for the dark psychological drama. And Lobell praises Portman’s beauty inside and out, enthusing to Vogue, “Natalie gets more and more beautiful because she’s a good person.” For more details on Natalie’s rigorous training for Black Swan and her next career moves, visit vogue.com.
