Saying she has a “unique” look about her is just a nice way of saying she’s unattractive. She’s like a mashed up caricature of both Bruce and Demi. At least it looks like she is trying to be pretty. She seems to always dress nice and have her hair and makeup done.

Good for her. The designers were looking for someone like Ms. Willis who is known to be hip, popular in the Hollywood circles, and has money to spend on fashion. BM are obviously (to me) marketing to her age group with their newer, lower priced, contemporary line, and she fits the demographic. However, I am tired of this path in marketing. I think it borders on irresponsible. Teens and older are bombarded with media messages like this one to feel hip and Hollywood if they buy these products, and that they are not hip if they cannot afford to fit in.

Wow, the comment sections on many web sites these days are snake pits, full of venom. You’d think that most people would be glad to see an unconventional face in advertising, esp. fashion ads, because most of us real people out here in the world are unconventional, too! Meaning, we’re no Cindy Crawfords, but that doesn’t mean we’re not beautiful in our own way. That should be celebrated more in ads, esp. in the fashion world, but it’s not. We get the same types and the same faces over and over. I guess that’s what most people like, bland, boring, same, same, same. Barbie never dies.

@ Laura – I agree 110%! Totally looks like a mashed up combo of her mom and dad, and not in a good way. There are some pictures where she is kinda pretty, but others where she is very much not… oh well, either way, good for her.

She’s not the typical ‘classic’ beauty but then, she’s not being asked to model for Victoria Secret either. I say it nice to see someone REAL for a change. Good for her!

Rumer….seems like a sweet girl, but let’s be honest, a model she is not. Rumer and her sisters look just like their dad, and got very few of their genes (looks wise) from their mom. This is not meant to be mean, it’s just a matter of fact. Fortunately, real beauty lies on the inside…so we will see!

You really just have to be thin to model. Being pretty is not a necessity anymore.

Haha, Laura and Linney…so true. At least she’s not letting it stop her. But honestly, if she didn’t have her parents behind her, nobody would even give her a second glance…especially designers.

I don’t care for Rumer’s name. But that isn’t her fault, blame Demi who prides herself in being ‘eccentric’. As for why/how Rumer got her modeling gig, all you have to do is look at her tall and slender, dainty body. She is model material. If I was her, I would lighten my hair three shades in order to soften her features a bit. Other than that she looks gorgeous, as is. Congrats Rumer, hope you have a great time with your new modeling job.
