Snow? Rain? Forget it! Stars escaped the country’s weather woes by jetting off to far-flung beaches and soaking up the sun in their sexy – and skimpy!- swimwear. On Dec. 22, Cameron Diaz showed off her figure alongside her beau, fellow hardbody Alex Rodriguez, in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The California blonde was sleek and sun-smart in a brown bikini and visor as she paddle-boarded through the water. The following day, Paris Hilton cozied up with her man Cy Waits and the rest of her family at the Four Seasons Resort Maui in Hawaii. The bikini queen paired her teeny turquoise number with big shades and a laid-back ponytail. And opting for a more conservative look the day after Christmas, Rihanna draped a cardigan over her We Are Handsome peekaboo one-piece suit and covered up her locks with a bandanna as she hit the Sandy Lane Beach resort in her home country, Barbados. Though all three A-list ladies looked sexy on their getaways, we want to know who you think did beachwear best. Following hot on the heels of yesterday’s revelations about LeAnn Rimes‘s 5-carat engagement ring and Reese Witherspoon‘s 4-carat stunner, comes a first peek at the rock that Hugh Hefner gave to his new fiancée, Playboy Playmate Crystal Harris. “For those of you who have been asking to see my ring here it is… My engagement ring from my love @hughhefner” Crystal, 24, tweeted yesterday evening. And while she offered no further details on the ring’s stone or setting, her fiancé had earlier taken to Twitter to give the lowdown on the proposal itself. “After the movie tonight, Crystal & I exchanged gifts. I gave Crystal a ring. A truly memorable Christmas Eve,” wrote Hefner, 84. “When I gave Crystal the ring, she burst into tears. Newly single Rihanna may be spending the holidays on the beachy sands of her native Barbados, but she’s still keeping an active social calendar, making time to hobnob with retail heavyweights like Topshop owner Sir Philip Green. But despite rumors that the Bajan beauty will become the trendy chain’s next celebrity designer, no official deal is in the works, according to WWD. Speculation surfaced after the 22-year-old performer Tweeted Monday: “Just had dinner w/ Simon Cowell Philip Green,and Lucian G., and Ashley (thanks) @ Sandy Lane! Great night!” WWD reports industry sources as saying the dinner was “purely social,” while a Topshop spokesman declined to comment. Regardless of whether Rihanna will or won’t be designing for Topshop, we do know that she is a huge fan of the store –- spending lots of time at the flagship during a recent trip to London –- and that her youthful, edgy style would make a perfect fit with the fashion-forward retailer. Looks like life after The City is treating Olivia Palermo pretty well! When the brunette beauty isn’t busy modeling for labels, including Spanish retailer Mango, or sitting front row at high-fashion events, the socialite is likely working on her latest venture: a clothing line! In fact, reports Racked.com, Olivia revealed to Spanish Vogue that the premise of her new reality show will revolve around the launch of her own collection. No word on whether she’ll turn to her fellow City alum, Whitney Port (who also pioneered her clothing line on TV!) for advice.
