Gwyneth Paltrow Tortured by Her Lanvin Stilettos!

Norman Scott/Startracks; Inset: FilmMagic

Gwyneth Paltrow may be excited and nervous to sing at Wednesday’s Country Music Awards, but what she felt on the red carpet Monday night at the Country Strong premiere was purely physical. “I’m in pain,” she told PEOPLE. And the actress wasn’t talking about the 20 pounds that she gained—and quickly lost!—for the role, but her black mesh Lanvin stilettos! “I feel like I’m in a torture vice,” she revealed to PEOPLE of the sky-high heels, which she paired with a black Chado Ralph Rucci dress. But Paltrow, who landed in Nashville Monday morning to rehearse for her performance at the CMA’s, isn’t the only A-lister to don the chic Lanvin pumps from the label’s spring 2011 runway collection: Just one day earlier, Rachel McAdams braved the red carpet in the same studded heels at the Morning Glory premiere in N.Y.C. And when not busy suffering for fashion, Gwyneth’s been blogging about some of her favorite spots to shop and eat in the country music capital—even if she doesn’t get a chance to visit them this week. “I don’t think I’m going to have time this trip. They’re working me hard,” said the stylish star, who made her country singing debut in the movie. So is there more country music in store for the fashionista? “I’m not sure. I’m open. We’ll see what happens!” — Wendy Grossman

Victoria Beckham’s Fashion Freak-Outs: Cropped Tops and Big Shoulders

Frazer Harrison/Getty

With her coveted dresses, chic accessories and on-trend denim line, Victoria Beckham is quickly becoming a defining force in the fashion world—but there are some trends that you’ll never see her embrace. “I do not like these big shoulders,” she reveals to WWD. And just in case we needed a reminder that her midriff-baring Spice Girls days are long behind her? “I’m slightly freaked out by cropped tops. I think when you get above the age of about seven, you should not do that.” And with a loyal fan base that includes A-listers like Gwyneth Paltrow, Cameron Diaz and Iman, it’s clear that Posh is doing more than a few things right. But instead of resting on her recent style successes, the self-described perfectionist is instead busy planning the future of her fashion label. “I would love to have e-commerce. That’s something that I’m really researching, doing my homework [on],” she tells WWD “Having my own store would be great,” she says. “Would it be London? Would it be New York? I don’t know. New York sounds quite fabulous.” –Jessie Goldberg

EXCLUSIVE: Iman on Wigs, Killer Heels and Her ‘Weird’ Neck

Mark Seliger for Harper’s Bazaar

You may know Iman as the one-name wonder who tamed David Bowie or the Somalian-born model with other-worldly good looks, but starting tonight, with the premiere of the new Bravo series, The Fashion Show: Ultimate Collection, you’ll get to see another side of the striking beauty. Alongside designer Isaac Mizrahi and Harper’s Bazaar Features Director Laura Brown, Iman will host the cut-throat competition, challenging 12 talented designers to produce a live fashion show each week. Posing in fairytale gowns from the likes of Sonia Rykiel and Valentino for the December issue of Harper’s Bazaar, the style icon reveals how she stays so fabulous, even at 55. “I don’t do anything by myself. I have a whole crew to get me ready every day,” she admits. “I believe in glamour. I am in favor of a little vanity. I don’t rely on just my genes. Looking good is a commitment to yourself and to others. Wigs, killer heels, Pilates, even fillers—whatever works for you, honey.” And when it comes to industry rivalries, this top diva is not afraid to name fashion foes: “Geoffrey Beene! I loved his clothes but not him,” she dishes. And as for her signature swanlike neck, not all women are green with envy. “My daughter likes to draw. She’ll say to me, ‘I am doing a portrait, so you have to sit still.’ And then she’ll say, ‘Oh my goodness, you have such a long neck. Weird!’” For more photos and a video from the shoot, visit www.harpersbazaar.com/iman, or pick up the December issue of Harper’s Bazaar, on stands November 23. –Justine Harman

Eva Longoria Parker Hams it Up in 13 Outfits at MTV EMAs

What a ham! Notoriously glamorous Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria Parker was happily roasted for the sake of fashion on Sunday, changing 13 times while playing host at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Madrid, Spain. The star treated the audience to more than a dozen designer looks while introducing a variety of celebrity guests, including another quick-change artist and two-time EMA host Katy Perry, who helped the host strip down to a bedazzled onesie. Though Eva initially walked the red carpet in a sateen LBD, she quickly changed into an oversized ham costume as a nod to Lady Gaga’s infamous meat dress from this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. She then donned not one, but two designer bodysuits, one by Viktor & Rolf (the duo behind Rihanna’s mohawk dress) and a second from French designer Gianfranco Ferré. Even her gowns were risqué, opting for a frothy chocolate brown Emilio Pucci number with a tie-up midriff and leg-lengthening blush suede pumps. And if you think all of those costume changes would tucker the petite actress out, think again: “Thank u Madrid! I love Espana!! MTV EMA’s you rocked! Had so much fun!,” the gracious host Tweeted. Check out more of Eva’s looks below!- Justine Harman
