Julianne Hough Goes Brunette at the CMA Awards: Love It or Hate It?

Julianne Hough Goes Brunette Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic

Julianne Hough‘s frothy Georges Chakra gown wasn’t the only thing that got style fans talking and cameras snapping at the CMA Awards last night: The singer also debuted her new, darker do. The former dyed-and-true blonde had stepped out sporting a few low-lights earlier this month, but she hit the black carpet in a look that brought her back to brunette. When Julianne tried a similar shade last year she Tweeted that looking at old photos made her “miss my blonde hair,” but we have to say we’re happy to see her bring back the look for fall. What do you think? Should Julianne stay on the dark side, or return to her blonde roots? –Kate Hogan

EXCLUSIVE: Crack Jay-Z’s DaGucci Code

EXCLUSIVE: Crack Jay-Z's DaGucci CodeCourtesy Gucci; Inset:Johnny Nunez/WireImage

Though his lyrics may often confound, when it comes to Jay-Z’s love of high fashion, there is little confusion. And one of his most beloved brands, Gucci (sample lyric: “Yellow wrist watch, Gucci flip flops, six top model chicks, who is this hot?”), is returning the sentiment by playing a key part in Bing’s elaborate introduction to Jay-Z’s new book, Decoded. Pages of the tome, which reveal hidden meanings behind the rapper’s lyrics, are being exposed at landmark locations all over the world. And today, Gucci’s 5th Avenue location in N.Y.C. will unveil a page from the book on the inside of a one-of-a-kind leather bomber designed by Gucci’s Creative Director, Frida Giannini. Fans who locate the jacket at the N.Y.C. Gucci flagship will be given a specialized code to upload an image from Decoded, which will automatically enter them into a drawing to win an autographed copy and other prizes. For clues to where the Decoded pages will be displayed next, visit Jay-Z’s Facebook, Twitter page, Jay-Z.com and Bing.Justine Harman

Miranda Lambert’s CMA Moment: 9 Nominations, 4 Gorgeous Gowns!

Miranda Lambert's CMA Cinderella Moment: 9 Nominations, 4 Gorgeous Gowns! Sherri Hill; Inset:Mark Sullivan/Getty

When country singer Miranda Lambert was nominated for nine Country Music Awards, her stylist Tiffany Gifford called designer Sherri Hill to dress her like a winner. “Tonight is definitely her Cinderella moment so the dresses had to be over the top, perfect,” Tiffany told PEOPLE exclusively. And while the engaged star has worked to lose her “jiggles and wiggles,” finding the perfect dress for tonight’s big event wasn’t so simple. “She’s a size eight, she’s not sample size, so it’s about dressing her for her body. She’s got a beautiful figure but she’s got curves,” explained Tiffany. And after narrowing down the 12 dresses that Sherri initially designed for Miranda to just four, PEOPLE is getting a sneak peek at the drool-worthy sketches—and by the looks of it, tonight is sure to be full of fairytale moments. Miranda, who will also celebrate her 27th birthday after the show, plans to walk the red carpet in a simple fuchsia, cap-sleeved gown which calls for jewelry and gold Stuart Weitzman heels to reveal her country rock edge. Originally, the Southern country girl wanted to wear pants for her solo performance but now, plans to pair a black corset mesh dress with Rock & Republic shoes. And although the dress for her performance with Sheryl Crow and Loretta Lynn is still undecided, Tiffany says Miranda’s final after party–and birthday!–look will be a strapless nude cocktail dress which we hope is accessorized with nine awards! Tune in to the CMAs tonight at 8/7 central on ABC to find out. –Jessie Goldberg

Emma Watson Goes Glam at ‘Harry Potter’ London Event

Emma Watson Pairs Her Pixie With Red Lips at Harry Potter PremiereIan West/Abaca

Emma Watson got cameras flashing on Wednesday night when she debuted a glamorous—and grown-up!—look at a London promotional event for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1. Marking her first red carpet appearance since boldly chopping off her hair in August, the British beauty oozed elegance in a chic one-shouldered Vionnet dress that she accented with striking bright red lips. As if to signal the official end of her Hermione Granger days when she wasn’t allowed to cut her hair, the actress, who described cropping her wavy auburn locks as “the most liberating thing,” seems to be basking in her new look. And while we’ve never seen the star in such a sophisticated light, we think her bold red lips and on-trend pixie cut add sex appeal and sophistication. With all of these changes (and no restrictions holding her back), we can’t wait to see what else Emma decides to try on! Tell us: What do you think of Emma’s new look? Do you love it or hate it? Blake Shelton Jokes About His CMA Awards Style

Blake Shelton Jokes About His CMA Awards StyleShepherd/AdMedia

Miranda Lambert and fiancé Blake Shelton will compete against each other in three categories at the 44th Annual CMA Awards Show Wednesday night–but there is no competition between them when it comes to fashion. Lambert will show off her newly svelte size 6 figure in four different outfits during the awards show. “One for walking, two for my performances and one for sitting,” she said during rehearsals at Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville. “I just haven’t narrowed all the choices down yet.” On the opposite end of the spectrum, Shelton joked, “I’ve just got one outfit but I’m mixing it up — a Dolce & Gabbana jacket and OshKosh B’Gosh overalls. Or maybe Jordache jeans. I’ll see how I feel right before the show.” Shelton confessed that he hates getting dressed up, thanks to residual trauma from his days as a pageant contestant back in Oklahoma. “The first times I sang on stage were in beauty pageants,” he said. “I was six or seven. I didn’t have much of a choice–my mom used to make me.” In fact he says, his mom would resort to bribes. “She said she would buy me a guinea pig or a hamster if I would do it,” he added. “It was serious blue ribbon winning business.” Shelton could also dominate in the male vocalist category at the CMA Awards, as well as take home an award for musical event with his Hillbilly Bone partner Trace Adkins. Shelton and Lambert—who has nine nominations —will celebrate either way after the show since Wednesday is also her 27th birthday. –Kay West
