While it sold out within hours in London, American women coveting the blue Issa dress Kate Middleton wore to announce her engagement are in luck: Starting immediately, reservations can be placed on the $535 long-sleeved silk-jersey dress on net-a-porter.com, with orders expected to be shipped in January. For those of you lucky enough to be in London, you can pop into Harvey Nichols, Matches or Fenwick on Bond Street (where it’s believed the princess-to-be picked up hers), but expect to be put on the wait list as this dress has gained superstar status, with high street copies selling out everywhere since that historic Nov. 16 announcement. And while that particular dress has caused a global sensation, designer Daniella Helayel refuses to comment on whether it’s hers or Kate’s favorite. “I don’t have a favorite,” Helayel tells PEOPLE exclusively from her Chelsea studio, where the phone has been ringing off the hook since that appearance. “I always admire the styles and colors Kate chooses to wear. She has great taste.” –Suzanne Zuckerman; reporting by Monique Jessen

That is NOT the same style dress. The waist is completely different…

Honestly the blue dress was average, I would not purchase it, for the fallowing reasons:
a) She’s too skinny and the dress was fitted for her
b)It’s just not that great of a dress..
c)Reminds me of something someone in her fifties would wear..
When Diana wore the Black Taffeta ball gown, that was stunning and still stylish!!

She could wear a potato sack and look great. I really love the blue, such a deep and rich hue.

Yes,it’s conservative, but it was for an occasion that was to be for the books, literally and figuratively. Understated was appropriate, especially given the fact she is a “commoner” was more or less being officially introduced to the public for the first time.

If the dress could magically transform my figure to look like hers, I would wear it every day for the rest of my life :)

The dress looks different than Kate’s — the bodice, color and material all seem different.

Uh….no thanks….Its a bridesmaid dress from the 90′s. I already gave all of mine like it to Goodwill.

Why are all the famous dresses blue? Just a thought.

Really to buy Kate Middleton’s exact Issa engagement dress-
Is a beautiful honor honoring Kate like a future princess more or less!
Of course Kate will be forever synonymous with this beautiful style-
As she wore it proudly giving the world her newly engaged woman’s smile!
The price of this dress for the average female is rather steep-
But dreams of beauty of you in it is something you’ll always keep.
Maybe ‘your prince’ as Kate’s pre-destined one will appear?
Will your love as Prince William’s is to Catherine be as sincere?
Of course some dreams really happen they somehow finally come true-
By buying this exact Issa dress can these dreams appear for you?

This dress is not that great. Who is the media trying to fool.

I don’t envy this girl for a moment, becoming a princess in this day and age, paparazzi everywhere and every detail of her life under a microscope. That kind of lifestyle would drive a lot of people nuts. I hope she has nerves of steel… literally!
