Katy Perry's Plan to Wear Latex as Long as She Can

Katy Perry is Dedicated to Wearing LatexJanet Mayer/Splash News Online

She’s one of Hollywood’s freest thinkers when it comes to fashion, and according to Katy Perry, her split-personality style started early. “I’ve always been girly…even though I was a tomboy,” the singer tells PEOPLE of her adolescent attitude. “My mother said when I was a kid, I was changing for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I don’t make it a big deal, I just do it.” These days, the singer still has just as much fun with her carousel of daring looks–and she’s taking full advantage of the situation while she can still rock her wardrobe of kaleidoscopic latex dresses. “They have an expiration date and that’s why I’m wearing them now at 25,” she explains. “I’m such a sucker for a theme, so if I go somewhere like Vegas, I’ll dress like Vegas! Or if it’s Christmas time, I’ll dress like Mrs. Claus!” But, she says, her craziest costumes are reserved for the stage–at least most of the time. “I think sometimes with the themed stuff…’I won’t be wearing that to get my Starbucks today,'” before musing, “Although, maybe my whipped cream bra I’ll wear, because I’ll help [the baristas] out. ‘I got it! I got it! Hold the cream! No worries.'” –Christie LaRusso; reporting by Jackie Fields

This has nothing to do with her age or her body…but I don’t understand what’s so hot about those latex dresses. I like that she’s taking risks and her stage outfits are bright, shiny and fun…but why stick to latex when there are so many other options out there?

Kiki….is 25 the new 50 or what?? You act like she is ready for some Metamucil and PBS. Gimme a break. If I was as cute as her I would wear latex everywhere.

I think she looks adorable. What I wonder though is why she never seems to acknowledge the fetish elements of her wardrobe choices.

She’s a gorgeous woman and I guess she always will be but no matter how perfect your figure is anything that tight just looks like you bought it too small. Sexy should leave something to the imagination; it doesn’t have to be spray painted on to prove you have a great body. and I’m not a big fan of her taste in men.

She’s such a self absorbed idiot with no talent. Wish all I had to worry about was clothes.

My God sitin, middle age spread at 25 years old? How old are you? 12?

25 is not old, but in hollywood even 30 for females is ancient! so i give her 5 more years before the next big thing comes out. That’s probably what kiki meant and that’s what katy knows! anyway, her days of dressing like a cupie doll are probably numbered. Besides that, I think she’s very pretty, great body but I don’t like her singing so much. And her husband is flat out crazy.

Are you all kidding!?!? She is so thin. Your minds are all WARPED because of the media. I’d hate to see what you would say about someone who was actually overweight.

That’s nice & interesting to hear! Also, Happy 20th Anniversary goes out to Home Alone, and it was cool seeing what some of The Cast, from the first 2 Movies, were up to, and to see an Interview VIDEO with Devin Ratray, etc.
