Katy Perry's Plan to Wear Latex as Long as She Can

Katy Perry is Dedicated to Wearing LatexJanet Mayer/Splash News Online

She’s one of Hollywood’s freest thinkers when it comes to fashion, and according to Katy Perry, her split-personality style started early. “I’ve always been girly…even though I was a tomboy,” the singer tells PEOPLE of her adolescent attitude. “My mother said when I was a kid, I was changing for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I don’t make it a big deal, I just do it.” These days, the singer still has just as much fun with her carousel of daring looks–and she’s taking full advantage of the situation while she can still rock her wardrobe of kaleidoscopic latex dresses. “They have an expiration date and that’s why I’m wearing them now at 25,” she explains. “I’m such a sucker for a theme, so if I go somewhere like Vegas, I’ll dress like Vegas! Or if it’s Christmas time, I’ll dress like Mrs. Claus!” But, she says, her craziest costumes are reserved for the stage–at least most of the time. “I think sometimes with the themed stuff…’I won’t be wearing that to get my Starbucks today,'” before musing, “Although, maybe my whipped cream bra I’ll wear, because I’ll help [the baristas] out. ‘I got it! I got it! Hold the cream! No worries.'” –Christie LaRusso; reporting by Jackie Fields

I really don’t get the women saying she’s going to be fat, can’t wear latex. It’s like every woman who doesn’t look like an anorexic barbie doll in Hollywood is fat, and the people that say this are the WOMEN, not the MEN! Katie is all over men’s blogs where the guys are worshipping her body. Get a clue, men like curves. They really, really like them, and they like Katy’s curves, and they LOVE her in Latex.

I think Katy Perry is absolutely beautiful and has a figure to die for. For those of you who are saying she isn’t thin enough to wear some of the outfits…are you kidding me? I think you may have some sort of image deception yourself. Be careful of what you say out loud. This is why women AND men have such an unrealistic view of what a real body looks like. Go to a therapist and stop adding to the image problems so many people already have. Try embracing your fellow woman for once. It is pathetic that girls as young as 5 are already worried about their weight.

C’mon people if you were to see her in person with this dress you would probably say “she looks like pork rinds covered in shrink wrap”!! Stick to what looks best on you! In her case, a floral tablecloth with no belt, or accessories!!

@ Kiki…What kind of maw-maw are you to say that 25 is too old to wear the outfits she wears? Are you from Amash country or the back woods? 25 is not too old to wear what she wears. If ya got it flaunt it.

@Dotti Charlee- I agree she’s not pin-thin, but she is thin. Everyone has their opinion, and you are definitely entitled to your own. But I must say I disagree with your conclusion that she does not look thin enough for this dress.

@sitin…you have a lot of nerve. Katy is not fat. she is beautiful. who cares if she has curves. i am so tired of people dissing how celebs look like. she is an artist and therefore wears playful clothes, and she looks good in them.

Note to kiki – If you think 18 year olds in latex is appropriate you may just be a pedophile.
