Prince William Gives Kate Middleton Princess Diana’s Engagement Ring

Such an awesome event. I am a huge Diana fan and can only imagine how happy she would be that William in doing it his way. Not bullied like Charles was and that he is honoring his mother with her amazing ring. It obviously means a lot to Wills…my question is wonder what her HRH Princess Kate of….Wales?? It would be a n honor for her to take Diana’s reigns as Princess of Wales in my opinion….much better the horse faced Camilla ever getting that title….

Yes, it’s a lovely ring but I think the new bride deserves a ring of her own. She needs to be appreciated for who she is, not constantly compared to Will,s mother.

The meaning behind the ring is incredible! The respect and love Prince William has for his mother is unspeakable. That being said, while I do understand why he would want Kate to have that ring to honor his mother what the ring symbolizes is divorce. I wish he had of given her a ring his mom had that his dad hadn’t given her. It could just be that Prince Charles is a cheater and a jerk and the ring is just a ring but in my opinion I would not give my future wife the ring my cheating, lying no good dad gave my mom while he was cheating on her with another woman. I wish them all the best in their upcoming marriage and future.

How upsetting that people are calling Prince William a cheapskate. That ring is a family heirloom, certainly worth more than the engagement rings of so called celebrities, and entwined with the sentimental value that is obvious. He gave her his mother’s engagement ring, more precious emotionally than any material object although certainly quite valuable to anyone with any sense! I think that this marriage is one that will last, and that Prince William has shown intelligence, forethought, and discipline in waiting and testing the relationship to ensure that it is right.
