90210 star AnnaLynne McCord is taking this season’s menswear trend to a whole new level with her new favorite accessory du jour: men’s ties! On Oct. 21, the star debuted her new style at the Choose to Fight On fashion show, pairing a sea foam skinny tie with a black leather jacket and charcoal trousers. A week later, she was spotted at a Hollywood screening of The Legend of Hallowdega sporting a plaid version of the men’s accessory and then at the Nov. 9 People’s Choice Awards press conference, she selected a truncated blue style to complete her look. While we fully support unisex pieces –wide leg trousers and oxfords? Yes, please!– we’re not sure how we feel about incorporating men’s neckwear into our everyday wardrobe. Ties aren’t just for men anymore. Women can look chic and casual wearing them. I love the look!!

Wasn’t this a trend back in the early 90′s? I know trends come back around, but this tie trend looks a bit dated in my opinion. She’s a pretty girl though.

I want to like the tie look~ I have tried to like it but it takes too much away from her femininity just as was my opinion in the 90′s. When you lean away from the prissy look–my tastes seem to plummet.
