Diane von Furstenberg to Launch Beauty Line

Amanda Schwab/Startraks

Diane von Furstenberg has draped women in her sexy wrap dresses for years, and now the iconic designer is turning her attention from fashionable frocks to fragrance and cosmetics! Von Furstenberg, whose feminine, and ever-flattering cuts hold cross-generational appeal, is joining forces with ID Beauty to create a complete cosmetics and skincare line–starting with a scent due out this fall, reports WWD. “All I want is to make women feel like they can be the women they want to be,” von Furstenberg tells WWD. “That message is so strong that now we have to put it in a bottle, in a tube, in a spray, in a jar and in a color.” The new venture will not be the style veteran’s first foray in beauty: She launched a scent, Tatiana, as well as a makeup line in the ’70s, before selling both businesses in 1983. “I have always been interested in the intimacy of the relationship between beauty products and women,” she explains. “When you have such an intimate relationship with women, there is no way that you can do it more than with the beauty business.” If von Furstenberg’s popularity among fashion fans is any indication, we’re confident that her beauty venture will also be a success! Milla Jovovich Dyes Her Hair Strawberry Blonde

Henry Lamb/Photowire/BEImages

For her new role in an adaption of The Three Musketeers, Milla Jovovich took her hair to a lighter, brighter shade of strawberry. “Let’s face it,” Jovovich told PEOPLE on Tuesday at N.Y.C. premiere of the modern jailhouse drama, Stone. “17th-century hair kind of sucks.” So to make her old-school onscreen coifs more fun, Jovovich recently brightened up her tresses by going “strawberry auburn” to star alongside Orlando Bloom, Christoph Waltz, and Luke Evans in the The Three Musketeers remake. “All the girls in the movie are blonde. So I wanted to go for strawberry auburn. Not everybody has that color today,” she explained of her new hair tone, created by her longtime stylist Philip Carreon. “And I liked the idea of something on the blonde side, because it was only in the 18th and 19th centuries that hair got really interesting.” And for her glamorous look on the red carpet Tuesday night, Jovovich’s hair was trimmed into a long, lopsided bob.  And can they work her current cut into a period coif? “Oh, yeah,” said Jovovich, who will play M’Lady de Winter.  “We do a half-wig and curl my hair in these beautiful-looking curls. It’s gorgeous.” Tell us: What do you think of Milla’s new strawberry shade? –Jeffrey Slonim

Kim and Kourtney Kardashian Make a ‘Dash’ to New York City

Humberto Carreno/Startraks

First it was Los Angeles, then Miami, and now the Kardashian clan is officially taking on New York City, bringing their Dash boutique to the Big Apple! Kourtney Kardashian was so excited about the N.Y.C. venture that she took to her website on Tuesday to boast about the latest location for the trendy clothing store. “First stop in NYC…our new DASH Soho location!! We are beyond excited to be bringing dash to New York City, the fashion capital of the world!” she wrote, after revealing on Monday that she and Kim, who is reportedly on a Manhattan manhunt, were in town to shoot the newest addition to Kardashian reality TV, Kourtney and Kim Take New York. “We have been working very hard finding the perfect location for DASH NYC,” she wrote of the fashion boutique’s new downtown home. “We are having so much fun already in this amazing city! The energy, the weather, the fashion, the food…loving it all.” And despite rumors that boyfriend and baby daddy Scott Disick is opening his own store above the new Dash, the New York native is in fact only working on a clothing line, but will be joining Kourtney on her East Coast adventure. “Obviously I would never come without my own little family, Mason and Scott,” she wrote. Alexa Chung: ‘I Don’t Have an Eating Disorder’

Courtesy ELLE

British presenter and model Alexa Chung, with her unique shabby-chic style and quirky sense of humor, is often seen gracing the front row at fashion shows (she’s currently doing the rounds in Paris), and even has a Mulberry bag named after her. But constantly having to read speculation on her weight and whether she is suffering from an eating disorder has finally taken its toll on the fashionista. Upset and angry about the ever-present rumors, she’s decided to speak out on the subject. “I cannot express how frustrating it is to not be believed when you say, ‘I don’t have an eating disorder,’” she states in the November edition of British Elle. “I am naturally very thin. I get even thinner when I’m stressed. And you cannot imagine how stressed I was last year,” she says in the candid interview. Referring to her U.S. television debut on MTV’s It’s On with Alexa Chung, which was later canned, the petite Brit adds: “Anyone could see that I wasn’t doing great and I wasn’t coping.” It was after the show finished last year, that the eating disorder rumors spread on the Internet to such a degree that the 26-year-old was forced to issue a denial statement. And yet still, her slight frame continues to garner unwanted attention. “It angers me because I don’t want to be a pin-up for young girls just for being thin,” she says in the feature, which sees her as the cover girl, channeling her favorite 1960’s style icons (Jean Shrimpton and Julie Christie amongst others). “I don’t want to be admired for being thin as opposed to being dressed well, and I don’t want the two to get confused.” Check out the video below to go behind the scenes of Alexa’s shoot, or pick up the current issue of British Elle, on newsstands now. –Monique Jessen

Emma Roberts, Nikki Reed and More Model Michael Kors at Young Hollywood Party

Douglas Friedman

A bevy of Hollywood’s freshest faces gathered at Paramount Studios in L.A. on Oct. 1 for the 8th annual Teen Vogue Young Hollywood party, and what better way to celebrate than with an impromptu photo shoot? Glam starlets, including Emma Roberts (top), Nikki Reed and Kate Mara (below), opted to fête the night away in Michael Kors, who sponsored the event. Roberts may have managed to go incognito from paparazzi in a pair of oversize Michael Kors sunglasses, but she didn’t escape the lens of fashion photographer Douglas Friedman, who was camera-ready to capture the 19-year-old star and the rest of her peers. Joining Roberts in the spotlight was Entourage‘s Kate Mara, who swapped her onscreen work wardrobe with a Michael Kors rose one-shoulder goddess dress and a gold python clutch. And while Twilight starlet Nikki Reed may showcase her sharp fangs onscreen, she posed no threat while modeling a gold paillette hand-beaded dress paired with leather platform sandals and a dark gold python clutch–all by Michael Kors. Other stars who gathered to mingle in Michael Kors? Brittany Snow, Alexa Chung and Lily Collins. –Jessie Goldberg
