EXCLUSIVE: Katy Perry Goes Wild Behind the Scenes at Her Purr Fragrance Shoot

Miles Aldridge for Gigantic Parfums

Forget daisy dukes with bikinis on top, for her debut scent, Katy Perry is all about the catsuit—and the singer’s giving us a behind-the-scenes look at the sexy shoot. Suiting up head-to-tail rubber, the California Gurl keeps brings her famous love of felines into play in the ad above for Purr by Katy Perry, which was shot in New York City by Miles Aldridge. What led up to the final cut, however, was just as glamorous, featuring the star sprawled in a sea of pink satin and fuchsia faux fur with real white kittens at the ready (below). As for the scent itself, “I’m absolutely thrilled to finally introduce me in a bottle,” Katy says in a release. “It is an absolutely purrfect perfume that I hope leaves you meowing with delight!” So just what is there in Purr to meow about? The scent mixes notes as sweet as any of the pop star’s tunes, including jasmine, pink freesia and Bulgarian rose balanced by vanilla orchid, white amber sandalwood and musk. And while shots of the bottle itself are still being kept tightly under wraps, it too runs with the feline theme, taking the form of a lavender cat statuette bejeweled with crystal eyes. Purr by Katy Perry will launch exclusively at Nordstrom and Nordstrom.com in November, with prices starting at $45 for a 1.7 oz. bottle. Julianne Moore on Aging Gracefully, Freckles and Looking ‘Not So Sexy’

Courtesy Allure

Despite being one of the most beautiful and sought after leading ladies in Hollywood, Julianne Moore insists that she is over the hill. “I like to call myself the hundred-year-old model,” she jokes in the November issue of Allure. Stunning in a slit-to-there Lanvin dress, the actress, Bulgari model, and new face of Talbots tackles topics ranging from nudity, plastic surgery (for the record, she doesn’t think it makes people look better) to girl-on-girl action. And though often spotted in designer looks on the red carpet, she happily forgoes fashion for sun protection. “I have what I call ‘my outfit’, I wear a long-sleeved rash guard and a pair of board shorts. It’s not so sexy, but I keep myself covered.” Looking radiant on the cover in a barely-there halter top, Moore appears as if she hasn’t aged a day since The Big Lebowski. But the alabaster beauty, who counts Oil of Olay among her beauty must-haves, still has moments of self-loathing: “I don’t love my freckles—I’d really rather not have them, but there’s nothing I can do.” For a behind-the-scenes look and more about Julianne’s self-deprecating life philosophy, fashion follies and beauty blunders, visit allure.com or pick up the November issue, on newsstands Oct. 26. –Justine Harman

Kristen Stewart Dyes Her Hair to Play Bella in ‘Breaking Dawn’

INF

After dyeing her hair strawberry blonde this summer for her role in On The Road, Kristen Stewart has gone to the dark side, returning to a brown hair color. “I was blonde a little while ago,” Stewart told PEOPLE on the red carpet at the Cinema Society and Everlon screening of her film Welcome to the Rileys on Monday. “So now I’m dark again for Twilight,” she said, adding, “I feel much more myself with darker hair.” Director Jake Scott, who directed Stewart in Welcome to the Rileys, said he kept Stewart’s chestnut color for the movie. “She came from Twilight onto our film within the space of two weeks. I liked it, and we kept it. But we let it grow horrible and shaggy and let the split ends come out.” But as Stewart prepares for Bella’s Vampire incarnation in Twilight, she’s had to give up some unhealthy habits she picked up on the set of Welcome to the Rileys. “She ate badly, smoked tons of cigarettes, stayed up late,” Scott said. “She embraced the habitual nature of the character.” So Stewart is currently testing a lighter diet. “Well, it’s kind of embarrassing,” she told PEOPLE. “But I’m playing a vampire soon. I eat disgustingly normally. And so, right now, I’m trying to not put so much butter in my food and stuff like that.” And is the diet working? “Yeah, yeah,” she answered “I feel better . . . I guess so.” Tell us: What do you think of Kristen’s new hair color? –Jeffrey Slonim

Kate Walsh Launches New Perfume Inspired by Boyfriends Past

Jeffrey Mayer/WireImage

Private Practice star Kate Walsh has a new love in her life–but it’s not what you might be thinking. The actress has created a new signature scent called Boyfriend, which gives a nod to her dating past. “I was inspired by my boyfriend’s scent many years ago,” Walsh told PEOPLE at the Piven Theatre Workshop Annual Awards Brunch, hosted by Moët Ice Imperial at Sunda in Chicago on Sunday. “I missed his scent after we broke up and I was shopping one day and I was like, ‘I don’t need my boyfriend to have a boyfriend scent!’” So Walsh decided to take matters into her own hands. “I literally went to the perfume counter and got kind of a masculine scent and then I thought –ding ding!– what a great idea for a fragrance, the Boyfriend!” But Walsh wasn’t looking to do the traditional celebrity endorsement deal, and instead wanted to do something a little different.

Ava Sambora: Modeling Today, Miley Cyrus Tomorrow?

RockinExposures/Startraks

When Bon Jovi rocker Richie Sambora showcased the new collection for his fashion line White Trash Beautiful on Sunday, he had a fresh face on the runway: 13-year-old daughter Ava. ”My daughter’s beautiful, she’s gregarious, she’s funny, she’s smart. I’m beyond proud,” raved Sambora to PEOPLE before the show. Ava, who made her modeling debut for her father’s clothing line at L.A. Fashion Week last March, was equal parts anxious teen and old pro at Sunday’s show. “I’m still nervous I just know how to hide it,” she admitted. “It’s like I really hope I’m not gonna trip, but now I’m a little more comfortable with it.” Changing into a dip-dyed lilac top, leather short-shorts and funky nude wedges for the presentation, the young model confidently strutted down the runway with mom Heather Locklear watching from the front row. But when she isn’t giving her dad a hand, Ava is just a regular teen who looks up to stars like Miley Cyrus. “I really love Miley Cyrus,” she told PEOPLE. “It’s just everything about her—I would really love to act with her. She’s like my biggest role model–besides my dad.” And like most of her peers, she is not impervious to Bieber fever admitting, “I met him once at the Grammy’s and I was like about to cry. I love him so much.” So who does the budding model think is the sexiest man alive? “My dad!” Ava joked. “Just kidding…Justin Beiber.” –Justine Harman; reporting by Nina Tyler
